Detrivore Haul + First Impressions

I've been wanting to place an order with Detrivore since I first heard of them a few years ago. I'm not sure what was holding me back from ordering considering I really like the products. I order a few satin eyeshadows and a few from the regular collection. Jessi's swatches helped me pick out a few colors like Harpy and Kraken. Next time I place an order I'm getting more browns as well as a Death Valley.

The texture of the shadows remind me of Fyrinnae. A little "dry" with a good slip to them when they hit primer. I'd like to see the shadows in action with the Detrivore primer because I heard it's pretty rad. The colors look plain in the bag but applied over just a primer they are a lot more complex swatches/applied. My favorite shadows are Kraken and Resistance, you'd think it'd be Harpy but lately browns have been grabbing my attention more.

I'm defiantly going to place another order soon. I want to try the blush,the primer and the primer. The swatches of the blushes look beautiful.

WHOO! SWATCHES! YEAH! *pumps fist* Sorry I know that I'm a bit to excited about eyeshadow swatches but my old camera didn't have any setting. So now I finally get to do swatches for reviews! Yaaaaaaaaay! Today I swatched my new Wet N Wild palettes in Spoiled Brat and I Dream of Greenie. I did a small review of them the other day if you'd like to check them out.

Before I left for school today we stopped by my local Ulta. I grabbed a new brush set for my Mommy because she doesn't own any eyeshadow brushes and her blush brushes are... nasty. (Yesterday I washed all of them for her because she'd never washed them. Yeah. It was gross. Which is funny because my mother is an extremely clean person.) I dug about in the clearance section and found a Benefit lip gloss set for her. She only has a few shades she wears and I thought the prospect of new lippies would help her branch out. :D

At the counter I saw the new Stila palettes. I grabbed the Tokyo one but both of the palettes had been used so I picked the Fiji inspired one. I really should have studied the palette before I bought it because I dream of greenie has the PERFECT DUPE in it. I swatched the crease color and the Figi green side by side and they looked like the same shadow!

While in the car to Microcenter (a computer store my Honey loves.) I used the Fiji palette. It could have been the jaunty car but the shadows blended terribly. I was pretty disappointed with how patchy/muddy the look came out. While in the store I washed it off because it looked so bad. I'm going to try the shadows with a different base later to see how it works with PE. Hopefully PE will save the palette from banishment.

Tomorrow I will hopefully have a new World of Faerie look for you! Maybe even a Stargate inspired (Ok Goa'uld inspired.) look for you.

Fyrinnae Arcane Magic Swatches

Lool look! I finally came through with the swatches! I'm pretty terrible at the swatching bit I will admit sorry.

Eyeshadows: ( Top to bottom)

Glitterboi ( A blackened purple with blue shimmer that reflects violet.)

Jaguar ( Not a Arcane magic color but just as beautiful, this is a sparkly deep teal.)

Sequined Master ( A gorgeous lavender/liac with rainbow shimmers of awesome.)

Electric Stardust ( A mint green that shimmers and shines like it's name sake stardust.)

Futuristic Glamrock ( A fierce as hell light sky blue with some many different sparkles inside.)

Leopard-Print Galaxy ( A gold/green color that changes in certain lights.)

Pyromantic Erotica ( The most amazing orange ever created by man with a complex sparkle.)

I used Pixie Epoxy under these shadows. I just used a small swipe than blended it downward to make sure the base was spread out enough. :D

Lip Lusters: ( Also from top to bottom.)

Lollipop-Pop ( A sexy pink with violet duo-chrome I love this color.)

Puppy Love ( A pink with purple to violet reflect sparkles. I've worn this every day this week.
