Any Color You Like-FOTD

In the past I've shied away from mattes. Mattes are fickle and tend not to stick on any base I use. Plus I never seem to blend them out right. So my beautiful Sugarpill colors lay untouched till I discovered the paint pot like color tattoos from Maybelline. So here's a bold look to show my new found love of mattes.

What I used:

Eyes-
Wet n Wild Fergie eyeshadow primer
Maybelliene Color Tattoo in the white color I don't recall the shade.
Milani Shadow eyez 12hr wear stick in Royal Purple (The best purple base I've ever used patted on the lid.)
Sugarpill eyeshadow in 2AM (A plummy purple patted on the lid.)
Sugarpill eyeshadow in Velocity (A royal blue placed in the inner crease.)
Sugarpill eyeshadow in Dollipop (A bright pink blended into the upper crease.)
Sugarpill eyeshadow in Poison Plum (A blue based purple to seem together the pink and blue.)
Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette in Greed (The lavender/silver color
Random Matte ivory (Used to highlight.)
Estee Lauder eyeshadow in Pink Ice (A shimmery sheer pink over the random ivory.)
Nyx glide on eyeliner in black(Used on the waterline.)
Nyx glide on eyeliner in white (used on the inner corner as a base for the lavender.)
Almay Liquid eyeliner in black
Mascara

lips-
Nyx lip liner in natural
Nyx lipstick in Circe
Nyx lipstick in Harmonica

What do you guys think? Sorry for the weird lighting, I have some new photography lights but they're way to yellow for me to enjoy. I had to cool down some of the pictures in iPhoto so they wouldn't look so odd. Anyway see you soon! I have a pretty gold look lined up to post next.

Freshly Picked Peaches-FOTD

This has been my make-up uniform for the past few weeks. It's simple and fresh looking with out being completely neutral. I took my inspiration from tutorials done by sweet lolita's whose sugary looks I love.
What I used:
Eyes-
Wet n Wild Fergie eyeshadow primer
Maybelliene Color Tattoo in Barely Biege
Wet n Wild I heart mattes eyeshadow palette (The peachy-salmon color blended heavily into the crease.)
Wet n Wild eyeshadow in Greed (The slightly darker matte peach color swept into the inner corner of the lid. The matte ivory is used to highlight.)
Estee lauder Pure Color eyeshadow in Pink Twinkle (Light pink with silver sparkles given to me by the wondrous and beautiful Kathy patted on the lid and down into the lower lash line.)
Almay Liquid eyeliner in Black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Oil slick (Sparkly silver black used on the lower lash line and brought up to meet the wing.)
Mascara

Lips-
Etude Lip stick in I have no idea but it's a peachy pinky lovely shade.(Kathy gave this to me also oh gosh I love it.)

Okay I'm doing something crazier tonight with lots of colors. That should make up (har har har) for my lack of postings.

Hurts like Heaven-OotD (12/04/2012)

Top:Forever 21(Similar)  Cardigan: Torrid Jeans: Dots(Similar) Hat: Target   Boots:GabrielBrothers(Similar)  Earrings: Forever21(Similar)

Uh hey guys. Yes this semester is nearly at it's end! I've worked a show, I've failed a class and I declared my Major. It may not have been the best semester for me but it's certainly been one of the more exciting ones.
Oh today is my birthday! I'm officially 25! I had a mini "oh god that's my age?" freak out for like two seconds. Then I realized that age is just a number. I'm happy where my life is right now. I've grown leaps and bounds since last year. So here's to 25!
Now that my closet has expanded I hope to do more outfit of the day posts and more face of the days. What do you guys think of this look? I really love my polka dot top. Probably the best ten bucks I've ever spent ever. See ya soon!

The Good Witch (October 11,2012)-Ootd

Dress:Torrid (Similar Cut)  Cami:Dots  Sweater: Lane Bryant  Boots: Kohls (Similar)  Cuff: Hot Topic Bracelet: Craft Store  Necklace: Gift

This outfit was fun to wear, I felt really cute. I wish I could say I loved the dress but it's a bit to big on me now. The sweater adds definition without weighing the dress down. (Plus it kept me warm.) I'm not usually a hat person but damn is that hat awesome. I found it at a craft store of all places. I need at least four more of these hats in different colors so I can wear them with everything.
My friend loved this outfit. She said I looked like a kindergarden teacher that was actually a witch. She then went on to develop a whole story where I taught the children of my class how to call faeries and perform magic through dance. That's what you get for hanging out with writers all day long.
So whatcha think of this outfit? Boho or no go?

Purple Haze (Or some such creative title.)-fotd

So purples are really in right now for fall. If you know me I wear purple all the time no matter what season it is.
Lately my life has been kind of stressful. For the first time I have a job and full time classes. I'm not used to this much stress! I don't know how you people do it.

Eyes-
TFSI
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Ransom (Royal purple used as a base. Some what patchy.)
Urban Decay Fun palette
-Freakshow (Dark royal purple patted on the lid and smudged lightly on the lower lid.)
-Fishnet (Lovely purple blended into the crease and smudged on the inner corner of the lower lid.)
-Sellout (New favorite highlighter used on the inner corner of the eye and brow bone.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 in Perversion
Mascara

lips-
Rimmel lipstick in In Vouge
Estee Lauder Pure Color High Gloss in Flash Dance

My friend and I bought the new Tarte palette together (since it was fifty eight bucks!) which means, you guessed it, swatches! The eyeshadows are really great but the last power isn't what I expected. I'm thinking it was just my base failing but I still have some more tests to do. I also have another outfit of the day planned to post on Monday. Hopefully I be able to take some none blurry pictures.

Working Girl-Outfit of the Day (September 27,2012)

Shirt:Target  Cami:Dots  Jeans:Dots  Boots:Candies
Also know as: Where Helen cosplays Sam Winchester
I missed you guys! I haven't blogged much because I recently got a job working at Lane Bryant. I've also been going to school full time. It's a bit stressful and sometimes I'm unsure of myself but so far so good.
The simple make-up you see before you has become my uniform for school and work. It's easy to slap on some ivory shadow and brown in the crease with a little liner. I miss apply colors though.
Okay I know these pictures are blurry as hell around my face. Bare with me here, I've never taken ootd pics before. I had a friend help but she's not used to taking full body shots either. I'd love some more tips to taking full body shots!
