Drenched in Otherworldly Charm-FOTD and OOTD (June 20, 2013)

Maxi Dress-Torrid (Pretty sure it's on sale right now!) Shirt-Target Sandals-K-mart

Oh my God, a dark lip? I know right? Not something I usually go for but I figured the look needed an extra lil something something. I really like the whole shirt tied under the boobs look lately. I wear this shirt like that with a lot of my sleeveless dresses. It makes a dress look sassy while covering my arms up.

What I used:

Eyes-
Wet n Wild Primer
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige
Wet n Wild I heart mattes palette dark reddish brown (Used to cover half of the lid leaving space on the lid for another shade.)
Darling Girl cosmetics eyeshadow in Otherworldly(Used in the crease and the empty half of the lid.)
Random matte white (To highlight the inner corner of the lid yo.)
Random matte ivory (They're both probably from the I heart mattes palette I think... used to highlight the brow.)
liner of course
mascara

lips-
Random deep wine lipliner from dollar store
Illamasqua lipstick in Drench (Though a lighter red the wine color deepened the shade nicely.)
Clinque Lip thingie in Black Honey (Added gloss and used to darken the shade further.)

I made Shaun take pictures of me this time, that's why my hand is all fuzzy in the last picture. I think I need a tripod! (Oh and a cleaner space to use as a back drop.)

Milk Maid Braids and Navy Brigads-fotd and ootd (June 14, 2013)

Dress and belt: Torrid Shoes:Target Earrings: Forever 21

When I saw this dress at Torrid I rushed into the dressing room to try it on. It draped across my hills and valleys in the most flattering way. The lush navy color complemented my fair skin without making me look like a walking corpse. Plus there is nothing like lace to make you feel like a lady. I paired it with my favorite spiky earrings and the perfect pair of studded pointed flats that matched the belt wonderfully.

What I used:

Eyes-
Wet n Wild primer
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Biege
Darling Girl eyeshadow in Witch and Famous (Discontinued sadly but used in the crease.)
Darling Girl eyeshadow in Evil Empire (Patted on the lid with a damp brush.)
Darling Girl eyeshadow in Taupe ala Mode (Used to smoke out the outer corner and add some sparkles!)
Random ivory (Used to highlight.)
Eyeliner of course
Mascara

lips-
Darling Girl Kiss Off Color Rich Lip Balm in Love is an Act (From the Hunger Games collection also discontinued. ):)

This time last year I had maybe one or two dresses with only a little bit of confidence. Looking through plus sized fashion blogs have helped me gain a sense of fashion as well as some confidence in myself. I've been dressing much nicer lately, in fact I haven't worn a tee-shirt in weeks! (Except for my Star Trek Voyager shirt because hello Janeway is awesome.)

Woodland Spirit Dressed in Lavender- FOTD (May 23, 2013)

What? Two posts back to back? Crazy talk! I know right? It's like I'm regularly posting again or something. I decided to try an odd color combo of brown and purple. I really liked how it turned out. I've got to use my Darling Girl eyeshadows more, it's my favorite indie brand honestly. Ladies and gents who is your favorite make-up brand? Any new brands you've recently discovered? I'd love to hear what you have to say!

Wet n Wild primer
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely There Biege (Just along the crease and brow bone.)
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Cool Crush (Blended haphazardly along the lid.)

Maybelline Color Whisper Lip thingie in Cherry on Top

The Moose Winchester-fotd

Supernatural, my new addiction, is about Dean and Sam Winchester who hunt monsters for a living. The brothers travel in a Chevy Imapala named Baby with a sound track of classic rock.  They kick the crap out of ghosts, wendigos, shapeshifters and they even save the world about four different times. The first season starts out with them looking for their father after he goes missing on a hunt. Sam is away at college trying to lead an apple-pie life until his brother crashes in asking for help to look for their dad. Their Dad's obsession with killing the demon that murdered their Mother drives their whole life which is why they were raised in the "family business" of hunting creatures. By the seventh season they've saved the world from deranged angels and Leviathans alike.
This look is based off of Sam Winchester the youngest brother. He's the "heart" of the duo, good to the bone. Sam is smart and extremely witty even if his hair is a bit floppy in some of the seasons. Despite the fact that Castiel is my favorite I feel the most connected with Sam. Even though Sam has gone through hell most of his life he's still a good person. He still tries to do good and help others. Before he started hunting again he wanted to be Lawyer. Sam is just lovely! I chose mostly greens for this look because he wears a lot of it, plus his eyes are green. The purple on the lid was actually an accident. I was trying to do a smokey look but the eyeshadow changed on me! Dang duo-chromes.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Wet n Wild eyeliner in black (Used as a base all over the lid.)
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (Just a tiny bit.)
Darling Girl e/s in Sultry Siren (Appears to be a pretty olive green turns purple on black bases apparently.)
Mac e/s in Jealousy Wakes (A medium emerald green widely blended into the crease and run along the lower lashline.)
Sugarpill e/s in Acidberry (Acidic chartruse blended into the emerald green.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Nijiro (Shimmery ivory used to highlight the inner corners of the lid.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion
Almay Liquid eyeliner in black
Mascara

lips-
Wet n Wild lipstick in Black Orchid (Used along the outer corner of the lower lip to add smokey depth to the added pink.)
Wet n Wild lipstick in Fuschia with Blue Pearl (Used on the inner pout of the lip and along the top lip.)

Dean's is going to be hard. My friend suggested I do a neutral but dark smokey eye because the show it's self is pretty dark. I mean every other character dies in this show. Don't get overly attached or you'll find yourself covered in tissues with to many feels. What other characters should I do from the show? I was thinking Crowely, maybe Lucifer as well as Castiel and Bobby. Any suggestions?

My Little Fandom-fotd

My Little Pony the eyeshadow by Darling Girl cosmetics is beautiful. It's a strange pale baby pink with a lavender hint and gold shimmer, gorgeous. I paired it with my new favorite purple 2Am for a pretty pop of color. The blue waterline was a bonus I felt like the look needed something.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Darling Girl e/s in My Little Pony (Baby doll pinky with a hint of purple patted on the lid. I love this shadow.)
Darling Girl e/s in Stargazer (Lovely red pink used on the outer corner of the crease. 2AM is blended into the color.)
Sugarpill e/s in 2AM (Beautiful red based purple blended all through the crease.)
Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette in Vanity (Matte ivory used to highlight.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Flipside
Sugarpill e/s in Mochi (A watery aqua minty oh god I can barely describe this color patted on the waterline.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black

Lips-
Rimmel lipsick in In Vouge

About the Supernatural looks I'm having a hard time representing the plaid, leather and blood the show has to offer. I was considering doing the femme versions of the characters but my Castiel cosplay isn't put together yet. I'm pretty obsessed actually, I'm so obsessed I was able to get my fiance to watch it. He loves it by the way. Maybe I should do some special effects for this series...hmmm.

Trenchcoat Angel-fotd

I've become rather obsessed with Supernatural as of recently. I'm a late comer to the show, but my friend Natalie forced me into watching a few episodes with her late one night. I'm kind of in love with Dean. Mostly because of his "male model type" hottness and because of his loyalty to his family. Castiel is my other favorite, he's hilarious in a dry way and I love his use of swear words. "Hey Assbut!" Whilst I'm being nerdy I'd like to add the good news, SAILOR MOON IS GOING TO BE BACK NEXT SUMMER. I AM SO HAPPY! Sailor Moon the anime and the manga were my favorite growing up. I don't think I would have made it out of grade school. Some people are inspired by historical figures or celebrities, I was inspired by a group of middle school girls who fought evil.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeshadow pencil in Rehab
Darling Girl e/s in Survival Instincts (Sparkly copper/purple/red patted on the lid.)
Sleek Bohemian palette (Matte cranberry red blended into the crease, while the sparkly copper is used along the lower lash line.)
Wet n Wild Vanity palette (Golden Brown blended into the crease over the cranberry color. Matte brown blended softly on the outer corner of the crease. Shimmery ivory swept on the brow bone.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil 1999
Almay Liquid eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
NYX round lipstick in Rae
Wet n Wild lipstick in These Abode Walls

Okay back to make-up for a sec I ordered the new Sugarpill Heartbreaker palette on Friday. I finally had enough money to buy it but they were out on the site. I threw a hissy fit on Twitter and Mai came to my rescue. She told me Shanalogic which has the whole Sugarpill line on the site. I quickly purchased it, letting out a warrior like yell with victory. Soon it will be in my grasp! Muahahaha!

Alice in Chaos-fotd

For this look I wanted to try something softer with a more rounded edge. I took the shape idea from Robyn and Mandy whose perfectly blended looks always catch my attention. This look was lots of fun to do and despite the fact that the liner is a lot thicker then my usual it looks really nice with the rounded shape.

What I Used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Aromaleigh e/s in Another Alice (A blue laced teal patted on the lid.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Curiouser and Curiouser (A pastel grape swept in the crease in a c shape. I also used this along the lower lash line, blending it into the pink color.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Chaotic Evil (A light but bright pink patted on the inner corner of the lid.)
Darling Girl e/s in Buddy Blue ( A sheer but beautiful white/blue used on the brow bone.)
Tarte gel eyeliner in black
Urban Deca 24/7 eyeshadow pencil in Clash
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-Wet n Wild Mega Shield lip color in Within These Adobe Walls

So my droogs, which shape do you prefer? This soft rounded shape or a feline-esque sharp shape?

Noxious Placebo-fotd

Sounds like a name for a heavy metal band right?
I'm half sick of shadows, neutral ones, that is. I've been needing to do an insanely bright eye and lip combo for a while. I kind of slapped eyeshadow on willy-nilly hoping it'd turn into something beautiful. I rarely use black eyeshadow but with this look the eye felt to stark without a bit of depth. Sadly using my Sugarpill eyeshadows did not squelch my want for more. Curse you're perfect-ness Heartbreaker palette curse you!

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Nyx jumbo pencil in Milk (Used on the lid as a base and on the waterline.)
Sugarpill e/s in Midori (A bright blue based green somewhere between seafoam and clover patted on the lid.)
Darling Girl cosmetics e/s in Grasshopper (A matteish grasshopper green patted on the inner corner of the lid to create depth.)
Sugarpill e/s in Dollipop (A true bright a$$ pink used to create a cut crease.)
Too Faced Glamour-2-Go Dream Addition (Multi-colored sparkle laden matte black used on the outer crease.)
Sugarpill e/s in Tako (The whitest white around used to highlight the inner corner of the lid and the brow bone.)
Sugarpill e/s in Afterparty (A bright turquoise-ish blue swept along the lower lash line.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lahshes!
*Please note that I did use a Q-tip to clean up the look around the edges.

lips-
Rimmel lipstick In Vouge

Oh man I have some reviews to write soon! Would you guys want to see a mascara review? Cause I really like the Tarte mascara I've been using for ages and feel like I have enough to say about it now. I hope you guys have a really great day and spend it with your Father's or your Father figures. I'm helping my Dad move a whole bunch of stuff around and then making something tasty on the grill.
See ya later!

Moondust Spirits-fotd

On certain nice days my friends and I declare a dress day. That means no matter where we are we wear dresses. Last Friday was dress day so I wore my favorite dress from Torrid. I did have an ootd planned but the pictures looked freakin' terrible. You couldn't see my shoes at all! Boo! Hopefully next time I wear the dress I can get better pictures. Oh and please excuse my bra peaking out in several pictures. I must have missed it when I was first taking pictures. Oh the duck lip pictures for Jerry who if you haven't seen her blog yet you are missing out.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeshadow pencil in Sin
Darling Girl Diamond Dust in Moondust (Atomically shimmery biegey-taupe used on the lid.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Samhain Spirits (Gold infused coppery brown blended into the crease.)
Wet n Wild e/s palette in Vanity (Matte ivory used to highlight the brow bone.)
Too Faced Natural Eye palette (Silk teddy used over top the matte ivory.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Mildew (Used on the waterline.)
Sleek Bohemian palette (Shimmery olive patted over mildew.)
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Darling Girl Kiss Off Color Rich balm in Demure

I know this look is pretty neutral compared to what I usually do but I have some super bright looks coming up. Like really really bright! Atomic bright! I'm back baby!

How's it Gonna Be?-fotd

I wore this on Saturday but I had to wash it off a few hours after put it on because of my eyes. It turns out the liquid eyeliner I'd been using had gone off. I didn't even know till I caught a whiff of it the next day. So gross. So. Gross. Ugh. I'm really sanitary when it comes to my make-up;I always check dates, never put water directly on to the products and I never let anyone use my eyeliner or mascara. Some how, some how this liner got past me. Blech. Aside from my "dramatic" eyeliner issue I've been pretty inspired make-up wise. I've started to play around with looks late in the night when I can't sleep. They come out crazy dramatic usually, I can't wait to post them!

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Darling Girl cosmetics e/s in Mayor's Daughter (Lovely intense gold patted onto the lid and blended into the crease lightly.)
Darling Girl cosmetics e/s in Making Merry (Rich berry red used in the crease.)
Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette in Vanity (Shimmery ivory used to highlight the browbone and inner corner of the eye.)
NYC Liquid Eyeliner (Used up finally!)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Wet n Wild lipstick in Light Biege Frost (Okay in real life this color is a gorgeous, it's like the Nars Orgasm of the lipstick world. This is my new favorite lippie.)

I have a few more looks lined up but I was thinking of writing a review. Who wants a Darling Girl swatchfest/review? Or maybe I should do a Femme Fatale cosmetics review...hmmm... choices... What do you guys think?

Loki'd-Experiment

*I did edit this pictures a bit and by edit I mean I made them a tad brighter

Have you seen The Avengers yet? I haven't! I loved Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and even one of the Hulk movies that no one seems to like. My favorite bad guy out of all the movies is Loki, not only is he adorable in an evil yet vulnerable kind of way but he's also all sorts of bad ass. I'm really excited that he's the bad guy in The Avengers I can't wait to see it. In the mean time I did a Loki inspired look. I wish I had used some Lady Loki inspo, in the comics Loki can turn from a man to a woman. A really really hot woman by the way.
In Nordic mythology Loki is the God of mischief. He's been known to cause trouble where ever he goes. He's killed a few ice giants and gods in his time and even mated with a horse. He's known to have a silver tongue able to talk anyone into anything. He's charming but damn is he tricky.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (Just a tad bit on the lid.)
Darling Girl e/s in Grasshopper (Matte-ish grass green used on the inner corner of the lid.)
Femme Fatale cosmetics e/s in Poison (Perfect chartreuse patted in the middle of the lid between the green and yellow to blend it better.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Bifrost (Bright yellow patted at the outer corner of the lid and blended into poison. The bifrost is the name of the bridge the gods use to cross worlds in Norse mythology. I had to use this!)
Sleek Bohemian palette (Matte navy blue used to create a cut crease that starts at the very edge of the lid.)
Femme Fatale cosmetics e/s in Riptide (Electric blue applied over the navy for added sparkle!)
Sleek Bohemian palette (Matte ivory used on the brow bone and used to blend out the crease.)
NYC liquid eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeshadow pencil in Clash (Used on the waterline.)
Sugarpill e/s in Afterparty (A bright bright blue patted on the waterline over Clash.)
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Rimmel lipstick in Kate 04
Max Factor random purple lipstick of awesome

Alrightie quick question, which camera do you prefer? The Rebel which I used in this post or the Nikon I used to use. The Rebel has better depth, is true color wise but is a pain in the butt to use for close up shots of the eye. My little Nikon is perfect for close up shots but doesn't always show the depth certain eyeshadows have. Which camera would you guys like to see me use?
