Halloween Town-Experiment

I was challenged by my fiance to do a look using orange, purple and green. He picked the colors out of my extensive make-up collection himself and proudly handed them to me thinking I was defeated. This look took me about twenty minutes to do which was enough time for him to fall asleep. When I was able to wake him he mumbled something about the look having a Halloween feel, thus the non-summery name haha.

I've been doing the white waterline a lot this summer. It's a lot nicer then having black eyeliner gunk up into the corner of my eye making me look like a raccoon. Not to mention it makes my eyes look huge! What's your favorite make-up trick in the summer? My other favorite summer trick is just a tap of concealer around my nose, under my eye and along the discoloration on my chin. I still wear a primer so that it doesn't slip off and I can add cheek color if I feel it looks to blah. I'd love some more tips!

Loki'd-Experiment

Have you seen The Avengers yet? I haven't! I loved Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and even one of the Hulk movies that no one seems to like. My favorite bad guy out of all the movies is Loki, not only is he adorable in an evil yet vulnerable kind of way but he's also all sorts of bad ass. I'm really excited that he's the bad guy in The Avengers I can't wait to see it. In the mean time I did a Loki inspired look. I wish I had used some Lady Loki inspo, in the comics Loki can turn from a man to a woman. A really really hot woman by the way.

In Nordic mythology Loki is the God of mischief. He's been known to cause trouble where ever he goes. He's killed a few ice giants and gods in his time and even mated with a horse. He's known to have a silver tongue able to talk anyone into anything. He's charming but damn is he tricky.

Alrightie quick question, which camera do you prefer? The Rebel which I used in this post or the Nikon I used to use. The Rebel has better depth, is true color wise but is a pain in the butt to use for close up shots of the eye. My little Nikon is perfect for close up shots but doesn't always show the depth certain eyeshadows have. Which camera would you guys like to see me use?

Sparrow's Song-fotd

Only one more day till I drive with my friend Cassie to Connecticut. I'm literally so excited I can barely sleep. I wanted to put up this look and another before I leave just incase I can't post. I did this look on Monday when I was playing around with my make-up. I like the navy blue crease before I added the extra blue. The navy in the Bohemian palette is gorgeous with a purple-ish cast that makes it really nice.  I thought it paired well with the deep blue shadow on the lid but I put over another blue anyway. Argh!

Hee-heh I'm wearing my Voyager tee-shirt! School is officially done for me for the semester tomorrow. I applied to CSU but I've yet to hear back. Hopefully I was accepted and then I can start looking at theater courses or something. I swear I have direction now, it's just hard to get back on track. This semester was a brutal one, I'm glad it's over. My personal life was completely out of whack I could barely keep up with school. Next fall will be better. I have lots to look forward too.

Hold Me Close-fotd

Whoo hoo! Another purple and pink cut crease kind of look. I looked back into my archive and realized I have done a lot of looks that are very similar to this one. What can I say I love purple and pink together, especially when they are nearly pastel. For the photos I used my Canon Rebel instead of my Nikon Coolpix. The Rebel is pretty big so I struggle to take self portraits because my hands are pretty small. Surprisingly the pictures turned out great today!

Mess in a Dress-fotd

I wore this on Monday because I wanted to feel pretty. I had some Junkie smudged under my eye left over from my school make-up so I put it in the look. Lately I've been trying to play catch up with everything after my visit to Kent. I've written two papers and even started a new Anthropology class. I love Anthropology, if I hadn't wasted my time I would have gotten my degree in Anthropology. Studying how people migrated or how certain cultures came together is so interesting to me. Instead of that I'm transferring to Cleveland State to get my liberal arts degree then hopefully I'll be able to go to a special effects make-up artist school!

I loved this look but it's been so hot it started to crease a lot earlier then usual. I'm not sure if you've read but it's the middle of March and Ohio is having 80 weather. Usually at this time of year we have about a foot of snow on the ground. Since the weather has been so weird I've been wearing a lot of nude eyeshadow and black liner. I'll take a picture tomorrow of my standard make-up, maybe I'll even throw in a tutorial. Thank you guys for your continuing support, you like me! You really like me! (sobs un-controlably)

Dragon's Blood Forest-fotd (2/2/12)

Thanks to Kathy I'm now addicted to Lana Del Rey's song Videogames. I've been listening to it for the past few days constantly. Along with Miss Lana's song I've been obsessing over the BBC tv show Sherlock. It's written by Steven Moffat, the genius behind the most recent Doctor Who seasons. I've watched the three episode series nearly four times now watching it with other people. I can't find the second season anywhere because of *coughillegalcough* reasons and I'm not about to buy the second season. Hopefully it will be on Netflix soon so I can obsess over it.

Cranberry Torte-fotd (1/31/12)

So many food based titles! Oh dear! After seeing at all the looks Robyn has been making using the Sleek Bohemian palette I broke mine out and did this one. I haven't touched my sleep palette in who knows how long. Which is a shame considering how beautiful and pigmented the shadows are. I'm officially on a no buy where eyeshadows are concerned! Until I use up some of my stock I can't click the mouse and purchase some samples like I love to do. I have a sample buying problem. Or would that technically be a commitment problem?

It's very cold and rainy right now. I need a dab of sunshine right now and guzzling orange juice just isn't enough. This warm, tropical flower like look came to mind when I was digging through my eyeshadow drawer. Bikini Sports Ponchin-Fotd

Bikini Sports Ponchin is a song by the Japanese death metal band Maximum the Hormone. I'm pretty sure it's about sex but I'm not really sure since I'm terrible at translating songs. I wasn't going to post pictures today till one of my friends told me I had too lol. The head phones in the picture are sadly not mine. They belong to my best friend who left her ipod here. I gleefully stole her head phones and started head banging to her music. She has the most amazing taste in music. Purple and Yellow FOTD + Need some advice

This was kind of only an eye look today, my skin has gone nutty plus I have no concealer left. All I could use was some powder foundation that really doesn't cover my spots. I'm stressed out today, a friend is starting problems with me, all my exams are tomorrow and I can't bloody stop thinking of the mess she caused. It's starting to get to me. I feel so angry and hurt. I'm trying not to think about it but as you can see I got upset enough to do one eye badly.

I need some advice what the heck do I do about my friend? She's very immature and selfish I can't deal with her when she's attacking me for no reason. ( She has bi-polar disorder and is in her manic stage. I've tried being there for her but she's shoving all of us away. She's being very hurtful, rude and nasty.) I can't even stand up for myself because I'm not that type of person. What do I do?

I walked to the mail box feeling slightly low. I have yet to have gotten my Hi-Fi cosmetics order, I woke up late this morning, all my exams are all on one day and one of my friends is acting crazy. I don't have many girlfriends because a lot of girls cause drama, sadly she just keeps proving my point over and over. I perked right up when I noticed there was a small package from the U.K. in my mail box. I shrieked and ran up the drive way waving my arms around like Kermit the Frog. Eeee I love Sleep, I love this palette and I really want more. I keep looking longly at the Acid palette but I'm not sure if the Sleek website ships to America.
