I lost two very close friends to suicide in high school. I've typed about it several times but I've deleted every sentence because I never feel like any words I have can actually honor them. They were two of the best people I knew. It's been nearly four years with out them but I still tear up. I wore purple to let others know that it does get better. Taking your life may seem like a way to end the pain and torment but PLEASE there are people who love you. Maybe not people around you but I love you. Even if I don't know you I'm here for you.

In personal news I've decided to drop my logic class. Math has always brought my anxiety levels high since it's one of my triggers. I have terrible anxiety attacks brought on by stress and fear of failure. It's way to late into the semester to get money back but I'm hoping to pick up one or two more half semester classes. I don't think you'll see any less of me considering make-up is my stress reliever. :D

I've never lost a friend to suicide, but a friend of mine did die in a car accident a couple of years ago and it still hurts me to think about it. Especially now since I've moved back to town and in the back of my head I'm thinking I might run into him and then it's like, "Oh, wait, no..."
ReplyDeleteVery pretty look. I had no idea that that was going on today- incidentally, I WAS going to wear purple and wore a different shirt so I went with orange instead.
Good luck on finding a new class. It makes me really glad I went to trade school instead of a university, whenever I hear stuff like that.

ReplyDeleteI can't say I understand, but my boyfriend's best friend committed suicide almost 2 years ago, and it is so obvious how much pain he is still in from it. I wish people could always be aware of how many people love and care for them.
ReplyDeleteI can say I VERY much relate to anxiety problems. My first college class this summer, I had to drop after the first day because the computer crashed after I had typed my whole speech that was due the next day (it was a cram class), and I was working a closing shift that night so I didn't have time to redo it. I started having a panic attack and just dropped the class the next day. I'm GLAD I didn't try and force myself to make it through, I think I would have been so anxious and miserable for those 3 weeks. So hopefully it's the same for you and it will be a lot better :)
