On the Road to Viridian City-Natalie FOTD

This is my good friend Natalie or as she's known on the interwebs as Little Isis. I met her in high school when she fell off of our bus and my fiance went to rescue her. After we dusted her off we discovered we all liked the same things we became fast friends. Lets fast forward to now, Natalie is a famous political blogger who is working on a novel, writes for her school news paper and is majoring in social work. I've done her make-up in the past but that's before I discovered brushes haha. I had fun working with her even those she squirms a bit.

I am eternally jealous of Natalie's curly hair. My hair is wavy and never stays curly or straight. Bah! Hopefully Natalie will let me do more make-up one her in the future. I was thinking a purple look or a forest green what colors do you think would look good on her? I'm thinking mostly warm colors because her skin is tan/warm toned.

Mink-Cassie's FOTD

I did this for the party I went to last party. She asked me for something simple and eye catching so I did this. She can pull off any color I swear. The browns made her hazel eyes turn a strange honey color. Usually they are a gold rimmed green with speckles of brown. When I put different colors on her eye lids her eyes change. It's really strange yet awesome. The day I did the purple and yellow look her eyes kept shifting between a bright green and a sweet olive green.

Cassie and I have become really great friends really fast. Usually it's Julia, Cassie and I hanging out together. We're a bit like the three stooges minus the physical harm. Mostly where known as trouble makers or jokers. It's nice being the funny ones. :D

-Black (Smudged heavily on top lash line.)

-Dark brown (Blended down on top of the black to smoke out also used on lower lash line.)

-Medium golden brown (Applied over black and blended heavily.)

-Light mushroom brown (Used in the crease and blended downward.)

-Sheer ivory (Used on the brow bone and inner corner of the lid.)

Is This Thing On?-Random fotds/new hair

Oh hey guys! How are you?

I dyed my hair on Wednesday but because I was so busy I was unable to put a picture up until now. I just used Ion's Medium Intense Red again because I love the color so much. Since it is blonde based I noticed the red fades to this brassy orange color which is o.k. but not red. I want to find a red based hair dye but... I don't want to branch out from Ion yet.

I wore this on Saturday to make it a lazy day.

Skulls on Gilded Wings; I wore this Friday to my first big college party. I then had to half-way carry my drunken fiance across campus back to our dorms. He's not usually a drinker but he wanted to impress our next door neighbor. He ended up barfing in the bushes. *sigh*

Neutral Eye for Smaller Eyes-Tutorial

I was asked by my friend LittleIsis to base a look off of a picture she sent me. The colors aren't completely accurate but they are close enough. The look is meant for women who have smaller eyes or eyes that have an almond shape to them. I myself have roundish shaped eyes so my eyes will not look the way your eyes will.

Step One: Have your eyes already primed and based, for the base I used Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy. Use an ivory or cream colored sparkly eyeshadow up around the eyebrow and down the bridge of your nose to your inner eyelid.

Step Two: Using a tan/golden colored eyeshadow on a flat shader brush place the color on to the middle of your lid then blend out a bit till it meets the ivory in the corner of your eye.

Step Three: Apply a darker brown or bronze color on the outer corner of your lid. Blend upwards into the crease. Add a tiny more on to your brush and blend towards the middle of your eye on the crease line. This will add depth to your eye as well as make them appear larger.

Step Four: Darken up the crease with a small amount of black or deep brown. I used the deep brown because I find black to be a bit to harsh with browns.

Step Five: Line your upper lash line with a color of your choosing. I chose black since it makes your eye lashes appear longer. Do not I repeat do not line your entire eye with black if you have smallish eyes. This will make your eyes appear smaller. Use a white or peach color on the water line and a gray or brown to tight line. Mascara pulls the whole look together, there you're done!

Red lips look amazing with neutrals but so do hot pink lips. The red makes it pin-upesque with the pink adds a modern touch. I recommend putting on foundation and blush after you do your eye make-up. This makes it easier to brush away fall out from your eyeshadow. I hope you found this look helpful. In the near future I will be doing a neutral eye for wider eyes and rounder shaped eyes.
