Chasm Fire-fotd

Imagine the grit that gets stuck under your nails. The kind you can't get out without running your teeth along the under side of your filthy finger. The grit then sticks in your teeth and you have a crunch that sticks with you as you eat through out the day. That's what Hel is like. They named the city as a joke. Zion was suppose to be heaven, a glowing city of lights. While Hel was for the damned souls that couldn't make it to heaven.
The cosmic joke was played well on my dark city. There are no neon lights here. The city is never graced by a ray of sunlight nor the warmth of nature. Nothing grows down here except phosphorescent mushrooms and lichen that lines the raw rock walls. There are buildings in the city, even sky scrapers. We call them earth touchers here. Once upon a time this moldering city sat above ground but now it's sunk so far below no one can even remember the names of the buildings.
The Neo-ites rarely come down from their glittering thrones unless they need something jacked. Jacking, in your terms, is hacking. A jacker will steal into your files, rip up the data they need and leave before you even notice your plasma block was breeched. Your head will be left churning as memories are erased, transactions are deleted or complete human links are severed from the main server. They can kill you digitally with one flick of a finger. Most of the Neo's who visit the Jacker's are business men. They're the government up there. They hold all the power now thanks to commercial capitalism.
I bet you're wondering how I know so much. Well humble reader I am one of these mystical Jacker's. I think you are imagining me to be one of your 21st century internet wizards. I assure you I have no neck beard nor do I play on 4chan discussing ponys in length with other grown men.
We are the Collective.
A group of jackers formed from the fallen elite. Most of us used to be Neo's but after the trials we were exiled here to pay for our crimes. Crimes the commercial government payed us to do. But that's why we're getting revenge.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Fyrinnae e/s in Sorceress (Blacked teal/green used to create a cat eye shape on the lid also rubbed along the lower lash line.)
Persephone Minerals e/s in Escort (A hooker blue applied to the inner crease.)
Black Rose Minerals in Poseidon (A sea colored green/blue blended into the upper crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Mischief Makers (A cool toned ivory silver to used to highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the lid.)
Wet n Wild gel eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes mascara

lips-
Wet n Wild concealer in Ivory
Nyx lip gloss in French Kiss

I originally did a black lip with this but I ended up hating it. It was to much for a look that was based on an down trodden cyber city. I think I'm going to make this a trilogy of short stories. I have to start writing the next one but I find my inspiration is at it's peek in the early morning. Isn't that always the case? You can't sleep then you do something creative and everything is just fantastic haha.

Neon Dynasty-fotd

The sky clashes with the bright city. It's darkness can't reach inside the dome but it stays, stalking the light like a hungry beast. Inside the glass dome the city is like a techno candyland. Neon lights flash in every window, dancing signs splatter across sidewalks and window frames. The whole city is one big commercial. The people in the city are unlike most. They bare no resemblance to normalcy any more. Some have dyed skin the color of rainbows while others have skull implants that make them look like demons. They look like faeries or angels with gnashing teeth that don't fit their jaws and wings that flicker but cannot hold them up for glamour. These people are called the Neo-ites.
The Neo-ites are rich with money in stocks or housing while the Underlings, the impoverished people of the city, rot in filth. Under the flashing lights and pounding night clubs the spidery spindles of the city sink deep into the ground. The city below is a dark shadow of the city above. In the deep chasms carved out by the old subways, opium dens and technology tunnels of the past live the Underlings. The people below look haunted, their cheeks sallow from lack of light and gaunt from lack of food. The Underlings can gain entrance into the shining world above but this is rare. However the amount of Neo-ites that have fallen from grace is high.
I being one of them.
Zeyea, my Mother used to say, don't look into the chasm or the chasm will look into you. But I have looked into the abyss one to many times to go back into the lights.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Nyx jumbo e/s pencil in Milk
120 palette
-Dark metallic beetle green blended into the lower crease
-Matte nearly neon green brushed into the upper crease
-Shimmery royal blue patted onto 3/4's of the lid leaving the rest bare
-Silvery light blue blended onto the rest of the lid
-Medium periwinkle purple applied to the lower lash line
-Light lilac brushed onto half of the lower lash line
-Light silver rubbed into the inner corner of the lid to create sheen
-Matte white to define the brow bone
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes! Mascara

lips-
Hot Pink Lip Liner
Morgana Cryptoria lipstick in Valentine (Discontinued)
Hard Candy Chill Out lip gloss mixed with Sugarpill Decora

Bladerunner-esque story eh? Not my usual writing style but I like the idea of twin cities. One in the dark and one in the light, neither fully evil nor full good but full of technological supernatural beings. I kind of imagine it to be like the city in Tron Legacy but more club kid. Didja enjoy the drabble? I'm not sure if I should write more since cyber punk is not my strong point. Oh yes I should add that I did this for the fierce challenge for Never too Much Sparkle, yay!

Plenty O' Hearts-fotd/Short story

The best stories always have the characters thrust into the life they're suppose to lead. Whether it's a ring, a girl or a dream that leads them there they take charge knowing exactly what to do. Those stories are full of adventures that bring the character a piece of mind or love something to take away from the experience of a lifetime. I wonder if they yearn for their old life back when it's over. Maybe when the quest is done it's a relief, a heavy burden lifted off their shoulders. I have no such life. No drama, no terror only corn field after corn field.
Some days I feel like my life would be easier if I was one of these characters. If I were Frodo I would walk to Mt. Doom, if I were Lucy I'd pop through the wardrobe, decisions like this take no more then a thought. Instead I sit filling out papers for college, papers for work and papers to take my families farm when my Father dies. The will states I get the whole kit-and-kaboodle since my brother ended up in jail. If I had the choice I'd run away to some small town in Maine far away from Arkansas. I'd eat clam chowder all day while watching the sea bring in fishermen. I'd marry a crabber or something, open up my own restaurant and die happy.
Here I feel like I'm Choking on all the dead black birds that fall from the sky. The river fills with the dead fish I used to throw a line out for on a warm day. I remember seeing the birds and the fish, eyes shining black with a white film over top. Dead eyes staring up like whatever killed them came from above. My Mother says it's God's Will. The nerds in my class say it's an omen of 2012. I feel like it's a message. Lucy if you stay here you will be smothered by the air and the river. Your heart will dry up like the beds of the stream, your eyes with black out like the red shouldered black birds. There will be nothing left.
I want to collect my hearts, climb in my beat up station wagon and leave.
But not today.
Not while the black birds are still screaming behind my house. When they fall silently over my town I'll fly from here.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Aromaleigh e/s in Hearts o' Plenty (A soft pale pink run through with gold sparkles used on the lid.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Pass the Tarts ( A tarty maroon red used in the crease.)
Wet n Wild Palette in Sugar Plum Fairy- Skin colored shadow (To highlight of course.)
NYC Liquid Eyeliner
Milani eyeliner
Mascara

Lips-
Fyrinnae Lip Luster in Lollypop-pop

I edited in the story a few hours after I posted this entry. I felt inspired and this space seemed a bit empty. It may not go along with the title well but I think Lucy would have liked it.
How do you guys like the new camera? I feel like it's taking good pictures of the make-up the shadows look true to color but... the white balance always seems off. I can't exactly see whether the picture is whiteish or yellowish until I turn the camera back around. It's a bit of a pain but I've been trying to use the mirror to guide me. Lol!
Ooo! By the way keep an eye out for a new post later on today. I've got a small surprise for ya'll. <3 <3

You Should Wear Glitter More Often-Fotd

She was decked out in her best dress. Glitter imbedded into the fabric, bright red shimmering under the disco lights of the club. It stretched tightly against her narrow hip bones that stuck out like knives. Her chest is flat, though there are false breast cutlets stuck in the tight bodice. Lassie Calhoon knows she may not be a woman every night but when she gets on the stage she is herself. She hasn't tucked every part of her real gender away, her wig isn't itchy and the nagging feeling the other queens don't like her fades. She can see the adoring faces of the men and women around her. They swarm her hands full of dollar bills. This will pay her way through college. This will give her the psychological degree she's always wanted. Lassie flips her hair and taps her feet along to the first beats of a famous pop song. The music sweeps over her, the bass pounds. She dances under the heat of theater lights and disco balls. Her hair flies around her like an elegant bird. Lassie is completely herself at this moment.
When she gets back stage she knows she'll be ignored by everyone but her Drag Momma. The big black women who calls herself Taffy and always dances to Whitney. She was the first to take her to the wig shop. They burned the wal-mart halloween wigs together in the ally way behind the club. She knew she was home. Taffy smiled at her from behind a face full of shaving cream. "Sweet wing you were delicious tonight!" She calls from the mirror as the razor buzzes down her cheek. Lassie takes off the wig and she's Richard again. His cheeks stark without blush. Richard tries to smile with his lipstick still on. It's not the same as Lassie. Tomorrow he'll go back to school. But for right now, as he puts the wig back on, she's happy in her world.

I have several friends who are drag queens, boys who wear make-up and beautiful boys who look damn good in eyeliner. These boys are very important to me. One (Josef Scarlette/aka Vozzost.) helped me become the sparkly mass of color you know now. A few years ago I would never have made a blog about make-up including pictures of myself. He told me to start wearing colors like purple to gently ease myself out of the browns and ivories that used to color my life. For this I will be eternally grateful. Please check Josef out on Youtube. His user name is Vozzost. You'll be amazed by his make-up. I promise I'll make a post about him soon. <3

What I used:
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Aromaleigh Rock! Sonic Glitter in Masquerade (Medium purple placed on the lid.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Flamingo-go (Soft beautiful pink used in the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in French Vanilla Shake (My HG highlighter.)
NYC eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Flipside
Waxy Hot Topic eyeliner (Under the lash line.)
Mascara

lips-
Blotted off Fantasy Maker Lipstick in Berry or whatever
Blotted off Fyrinnae Lip Luster in Hair Dye

I hope you all are having an amazing day/week so far. *skips*

WARNING: Gore Ahead

The dark is thick around you as you walk in the city. Every alley way looks menacing, every person a mugger. You try to shuffle your way to the subway. You know it's some where around here, it's not like you haven't walked this way before. You take this way home every day. It just looks a little different at night. You pull your coat tighter around yourself, as though it can protect you for something else other than the cold. A vent on the sidewalk hisses out steam, obscuring the view of what you thought might be the subway entrance. You try to walk through the steam but it's so thick you can barely see in front of you. The hot air causes you to blink, you squint seeing something in the distance.
It's a person with their back turned to you. It's not odd to see another human in a densely packed city you remind yourself. Than again you haven't seen anyone for several blocks. You realize it's a woman with something dripping from her hands. Your fight or flight reflexes tell you it's blood, your mind tells you she could be hurt. You call out to her she moans back you and turns to look at you.
There is something wrong with her face.
A long gash extends from her mouth to her cheek. It's thick and bloody with raw pieces of flesh hanging off. You recoil in horror. Stumbling over your clumsy feet you fall to the side walk. She runs to you, faster than you expected. You notice something else, there is blood all down her clothes, on her hands and her eyes... her eyes are dead. You try to scream but her mouth is already around your throat.

Dun.Dun. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun. :3

Oh hey what did I use?
Liquid Latex (Smells like vagina. If you are a very sensitive to scents don't get this. They have a non latex like product made for a reason.)
Toilet Paper (Keeping it classy.)
Coyt Beauty powder (To set.)
Ben Nye Burn and Wound Wheel (To add depth and awesomeness to it.)
Fake Blood

Yup. That's all it took. Excuse me I has the internets to run. (Runs off to bed for sleep.)

Slyphs and 'glyphs-Fotd

Swan stared at the tattoo on her brother's arm. It was thick and black, circling around his arm like a snake. He had gotten a human artist to draw it out for him then tattoo it on his arm. She wondered if it was the metal in the tattoo ink that killed him or the needle the artist used. Her father Blackbird was outraged, not only because his only son was dead but because he was murdered. The human must have known he was fae.
After Rook's funeral Swan escaped through the veil to the mortal realm. She wandered, lost, for a good while. This was not the same place she used to play in as a child. There were no fields left, the small island she used to love was now a bustling metropolis. The nugget of pain in her chest began to change to rage. It felt like she carried her brothers life in her heart now. She had not intended to avenge his death but the crazed whisperings of the sparrows around her turned her. The new world was full of metal and malice. She intended to put it right.
Swan asked the mortals where they could get tattoos in the city. She visited hundreds of small shops in the city and dotted around the bridges. Even the back allies were full of haggard looking men giving tattoos to giggling school girls. Unsuspecting of the dirty needle and tainted ink. She could smell the infection setting in with the first prick of the pin.
It was all but hopeless until one rainy day a man recognized the tattoo Swan described. He was handsome, tall and dark his hands, arms and face tattooed with beautiful symbols of love or religion. He looked like a living piece of art. Swan wanted to stroke his arms till the Virgin Mary's came alive under her palm. "My name is Michael," he told her. "I did the tattoo on your brother. He wanted something for people to remember him by."
Swan tried not to hiss, this man killed her brother but was it by accident? " My brother was allergic to metal. You killed him with your needle." The words rushed out before she could stop them. Michael's face was contoured in terror and pain. There was no way he could have known Rook was a Slyph. Swan let the anger, hate and pain fall away from her like a she was shucking a cloak. Instead of wrapping her hands around his throat she pushed her hand into his and squeezed. Forgiveness was easier then death she thought.

So did you like the story? :D

There is going to be an Evil Shades Haul post coming soon. I'm struggling with some home work right now so it may be tomorrow instead of today. Sorry guys. I'm a bit swamped because I forgot to do a ton of work over the weekend. What does this teach you kids? Finish your home work BEFORE you have fun. -.- I hope you enjoyed the short story. I love tattoos and faeries so why the hell not combined them. Though if you are a faery and your going to get a tattoo please get it done with a different type of metal. I know tattoo needles are made out of surgical steel but I'm allergic to surgical steel so... yeah. :3

The Voodoo Queen-Fotd

The Voodoo Queen of New York was tall and imposing, her hair snaking around her face in dread locks, her black cherry skin taunt over her cheekbones. She was wickedness and beauty all wrapped into one. Her face was painted with darkening blood from the man that lay at the threshold of her thrown. I was smaller then she, at only 5”2 with long red hair I looked like a tiny pixie holding a huge gun.

“What do you want little girl. Can’t you see I’m busy.” Her thick Hattian accent was freckled with annoyance. Of course she was busy, her hands were full of blood and chunks of flesh. She was after all the one who summoned all the zombies in the first place.

“I came to stop you Camille. If I kill you, the zombie horde will stop tearing up the city streets.”

“Foolish child.” She chuckled, her laugh echoing off the walls of the chamber. “There is no end for me or for my reign. The whole Earth will shudder while my Zombie-darlings parade.

I pulled the trigger of my gun. Bucking as the butt jammed into my shoulder. Her laughter stopped, the chamber was empty of any noise. I let the gun drop from my hands. The bullets had made her face into something unrecognizable by man. I tried to suppress the bile that rose into my throat by running. I ran past the gaurds I had worked so hard to avoid, I ran past the bodies that had been a pack of zombies before, I ran through the door of the building to the fresh night air. New York was still with the silence that could only mean one thing. World War Zombie was over.

What I used:( Please excuse the weird ass spacing. I tried fixing it. :/)

TFIS

Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy

Evil Shades e/s Heartless Queen( A bright red used on the lid. This is VERY pigmented. It stained my brush a teeny weeny bit and when it fell across my cheek it wouldn't wipe off. This is a true red so I suggest using powder under your eye before putting this on. That being said I bloody love this color.)

Evil Shades e/s Zombie ( The perfect blend between red, brown and black. Used in the crease.)

Aromaleigh e/s in Rosina ( Used as a highlighter, this is my Holy Grail highlighter, I need a dupe of this soon though. >.<)

Milani eyeliner in black, liquid eyeliner and then mascara. :3

I don't normally paint my nails. In fact I used to hate how nail polish felt on my nails. For some reason it always felt heavy and slimy at the same time. I started reading a few nail polish blogs and I started wishing I had longer nails. So I went out and bought a small jar of Hard Candy nail polish. Not the best brand but it kept me from biting my nails. Yesterday I went to Ulta and bought the matte top coat by China glaze. In the store I put it over my China Glaze polish in Spontaneous. I had Sally Hanson Hidden Treasure on my thumb nail and ring fingers but I didn't put the matte over those. I really like how the matte looks. :D Above is a picture of my nails, I'm sorry it's so blurry but you can at least see the color clearly.

How do you like the stories so far? Using the titles as prompts has really been helping me get over my creative block. I am an English major but I'm not going to actually major in creative writing. I love writing but after all the "Get Real" discussions I've had with adults they pretty much killed my want to be a writer. ( Which is pretty sad.) :/
