The Sunlight Hurts My Eyes-fotd

HOLY SHI- why is it so freaking HOT out? I cannot handle the heat. I am no hot house flower. I wilt when there is to much humidity and heat. UGH! Since it's been so hot for the last two weeks I haven't worn much make-up besides foundation and eyeliner. (They both melt off after three hours in this heat.) I mentioned my "make-up block" was happening again and Kathy suggested I do a "gawth" look using Danse Macabe. Robyn agreed with her so tried to make this as goth as I could. This isn't as goth as I hoped but I didn't want to use black eyeshadow. I feel like the black lipstick is the only thing goth but I'm proud of this look anyway.
Besides doing awesome make-up I went to Toys-R-Us for friends birthday presents. It was a walk down memory lane considering it was the toy store I went to as a child. The fiance ended up buying me a My Little Pony figurine. It's Pinkie Pie of course! They were having a buy one get one sale so I bought one for my best friend's birthday. I want Rarity and Twilight Sparkle next.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Fyrinnae e/s in Danse Macabe (Lemon/lime green used on the first half of the lid and blended inwards towards the teal.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Jaguar (A blackened teal used along the second half of the lash line then brought up in a wing shape to the crease and blended up. Also brushed under the eye.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Otherworld (Sheer shimmery light aqua brushed along the brow bone and inner corner of the lid.)
Mac Jewel Marine Glitter (Sparkly emerald green/teal used on the point of the wing.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Milani eyeliner in black
mascara

Lips-
Fyrinnae Lip Luster in Diabolical Masquerade (Blackened Red.)

The nearly black teal looked more teal then brown in real life. Stupid sun! *shakes fists* I think I'm going to do a Pinkie Pie inspired look tomorrow. Lillian is actually doing My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic inspired looks on her blog. Check them out here at Funny Face's Place.

  1. I *love* this look. Does Fyrinnae no longer have Diabolical Masquerade or have I just overlooked it? cause I so need it.

  2. @mysocksarebetterthanyoursocks Fyrinnae seem to have stopped selling their lip lustres, last I looked (which was... yesterday). It's quite depressing.

This is pretty, though, you can very much pull off the "gawth"! Love the shape of the eyeshadow, which is probably an obscure compliment, but oh well xD

  6. GORGEOUS! I love it. I think it's very Stylish Goth. And the touch of glitter at the tip of the wing is a brilliant touch! And Wendy's right - Seven of Nine in that top photo. HOTT.

  7. These colors are so dark, I wouldn't be able to wear this look but it's very sultry on you! I feel your pain about the heat - 125 degrees inside my house yesterday and not much better today.

  8. One of my biggest fears right now is my A/C breaking or something. Thank goodness I do have it, though, otherwise I don't think I would be able to function!
