Pumpkin Cake-fotd (1/26/12)

Where have I been? Uhm... well going back to school and spending to much time visiting friends. That and I haven't felt like any of the looks I've done recently are up to par with what I usually put up. To school I just wear some foundation, blush and white eyeliner so I don't look like a zombie. And if I'm running late to a get together with friends I slap on some teal eyeliner. I did this look because I was so very sick of using the same products over and over. I love this look, it was surprisingly simple to do too!

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Detrivore Primer (Just on the upper lid and crease.)
Sugarpill e/s in Dollipop (Bright pink used in the crease.)
Darling Girl Glitter Glue (Patted on the lid.)
Darling Girl e/s Pumpkin Eater (Soft orange patted on the lid and blended slightly upward.)
Wet n Wild Vanity palette matte ivory (Used to highlight of course.)
Darling Girl e/s in Lala Orange (Sheer white based orange used on the lower lid and inner corner of the lid.)
NYC liquid eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Tatre Lip surge in Enchanted
Essence lip gloss in Bubble Babe

Thank you all so much for the follows and the comments. You ladies and gents are my inspiration, my friends and my not-preppy cheerleaders. I may be just a girl blogging about what she loves but you guys are amazing.

Rage Against-fotd/Renee

Last Friday Renee came back from her three week trip to Okinawa Japan to visit her Marine husband. She came back armed with Japanese candy, adorable toys and loads of stories. On Tuesday she decided that she wanted me to dye her hair with an added pink streak. We dyed it a dark brown with a gold base since her natural hair color is light gold toned brown. For the pink I bleached the strip with a violet toned bleach and then mixed a bunch of different pinks together. The base was a conditioner with a dime sized dab of Special Effects Cherry Bomb, another dime sized dab of Special Effects Cupcake Pink and the rest is Manic Panic's Hot Hot Pink.
After we finished dying her hair she asked me to do her make-up like her hair. A pink and brown combo with a rocker edge. I tried to use as little black as possible even though black is a staple in most "rock star" looks. When we were done we had a mini "photo shoot" with loads of crazy poses. These pictures are my favorites because they capture who she really is, sassy, funny and silly.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Estee Lauder eyeshadow stick in Bronze (Made into a winged shape along the lid.)
Detrivore e/s in Wraith (Dark brown with copper shimmer used on the lid over the shape.)
Detrivore e/s in Vulture (Taupe brown used to blend the crease and brow highlight.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Woodstock (Bright pink used along the lower lash line.)
Sugarpill e/s in Dollipop (Bright matte pink used over Woodstock.)
Sugarpill e/s in Tako (Matte white lightly brushed on to the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye.)
Darling Girl e/s in Rainbow Brite (Sheer pink with rainbow sparkles used to highlight the inner corner of the lid, over Dollipop and along the brow bone.)
Milani eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Wet n Wild lipstick Hot Pink with Blue sheen (Rubbed onto the center of the lid.)
Essence lip gloss in Bubble Babe

Now I'm going to enjoy being snowed in because Ohio weather is stupid.

Abundance of Oddity-fotd

My Detrivore order came today! I bought several eyeshadow samples, the original eye primer and three perfumes. Detrivore has great eyeshadows but their primer has become a Holy Grail product for many bloggers. My first experience with it went really well. When I used the eyeshadows over top of it they blended out well while still keeping the shimmer and color in place. I think I took to long on the crease because when I patted shadow on the lid the shadow didn't stick as well as when I had first applied it. The crease color stayed until I washed it off, there wasn't any color fading at all. On the lid however it creased a bit as well as lost some color. I think I either used to much or didn't apply the shadows fast enough. I'm going to try again tomorrow by using less.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Detrivore Original eyeshadow primer
Detrivore e/s in Abnormal (A confusing black based green or is it yellow? Used in the crease and under the lower lash line.)
Detrivore e/s in Ghoul (A safari green satin used on the lid and blended upwards.)
Wet n Wild Vanity palette (Pale ivory matte, then pale shimmery ivory used to highlight the brow bone and inner corner of the lid.)
NYC liquid eyeliner in black
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
NYX round lipstick in Thalia
Random red lipstick (Patted on the inner pout.)

Boy oh boy, I still owe you dudes those Femme Fatale swatches and now I owe you a haul post. I am a horrible blogger, bad blogger, naughty blogger! I may need a spanking. (Wait, this is a Monty Python and The Holy Grail reference! I swear I'm not pervy!) I hope you all have a good weekend. Mine is going to be fabulous!

Pretty Plasma Coil-fotd

I wore this look Friday when I was bleaching my friend Heather's hair. We wanted to do it a day before we put the insane colors in just so we could use a lot of conditioner. I have a lot of experience bleaching hair now as well as dying it uh...unique colors. Today I dyed Heather's hair bright cupcake pink in the front and electric blue that faded into teal in the back. I have been unable to see it dry yet but tomorrow I'll be able to get pictures before she leaves to go to school. I'm really proud of how it turned out so I can't wait to show you guys!

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI

Winter's Hearth-fotd

The Christmas snow I wanted has finally come weeks late. A huge snow storm has swept it's self across a few states and has felled trees, windows and cars. The wind keeps rattling our windows like it wants inside. Thankfully I've stayed inside most of the time, covered with blankets and chihuahuas.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Urban Decay 24/7 shadow pencil in Juju (Medium brown applied to the lid as a base.)
Urban Decay 24/7 shadow pencil in Rehab (Dark brown applied to the lash line and blended up.)
Too Faced eyeshadow in Coco Puff (Dark brown used on the outer part of the lid, blended inward.)
Too Faced eyeshadow in Push Up (Light bronze used where cocopuff meets silk teddy to blend.)
Too Faced eyeshadow in Silk Teddy (Shimmery champagne used on the brow bone and the inner corner of the lid.)
Too Faced eyeshadow in Erotica (Deep nearly black brown used on the very outer edge of the crease where it meets the lid.)
Wet n Wild Vanity Palette (Shimmery brown used in the crease.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Radium (Bright true blue used on the lower lash line.)
Sugarpill eyeshadow in Afterparty (Bright blue with a hint of turquoise patted on the lower lash line.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion
NYC Liquid eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Wet n Wild tinted chapstick in uh...I dunno, it's a pretty color though.

I did this look for the Never Too Much Sparkle challenge this week which was Winter sunset. I wish I had used orange or red but I like blue and brown together. Thanks to all the ladies on N.T.M.S. for telling me my look isn't boring. You guys are so wonderful.
