Hold Me Close-fotd

Whoo hoo! Another purple and pink cut crease kind of look. I looked back into my archive and realized I have done a lot of looks that are very similar to this one. What can I say I love purple and pink together, especially when they are nearly pastel. For the photos I used my Canon Rebel instead of my Nikon Coolpix. The Rebel is pretty big so I struggle to take self portraits because my hands are pretty small. Surprisingly the pictures turned out great today!

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Detrivore cosmetics Original eyeshadow base
Detrivore e/s in Nameless (Tangerine pale pink patted on the first part of the lid.)
Darling Girl Glitter Glue (Just applied on the crease and brow bone.)
Nyx jumbo pencil in Milk (Used on the inner corner of the lid.)
Sugarpill e/s in Tako (Pure white patted on the inner corner of the lid.)
Sugarpill e/s in Dollipop (Bright matte pink patted on the outer corner of the lid and blended in wards towards Nameless. Blended lightly under the purple as well.)
Sleek Bohemian palette (Violet purple blended onto the crease to add depth before the second highlight color.)
Detrivore e/s in Muse (A shimmery lilac used in the crease.)
Concrete Minerals e/s in White Rabbit (Sheer white with violet sparkles used on the inner corner and the brow bone.)
NYC eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeshadow pencil in Delinquent (Faded from use on the waterline for school so naturally it was under my eye.)
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Random Max Factor Lipstick I stole from my BFF

Sorry for the boring post today. I have some homework I need to do so no witty ramblings right now. Love you guys!

Mess in a Dress-fotd

I wore this on Monday because I wanted to feel pretty. I had some Junkie smudged under my eye left over from my school make-up so I put it in the look. Lately I've been trying to play catch up with everything after my visit to Kent. I've written two papers and even started a new Anthropology class. I love Anthropology, if I hadn't wasted my time I would have gotten my degree in Anthropology. Studying how people migrated or how certain cultures came together is so interesting to me. Instead of that I'm transferring to Cleveland State to get my liberal arts degree then hopefully I'll be able to go to a special effects make-up artist school!

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Darling Girl cosmetics Glitter Glue
Sleek cosmetics Bohemian palette (Matte blue based purple blended into the crease.)
Concrete Minerals e/s in Wicked (Shimmery medium purple with a teal duochrome blended into the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Kitten in Heels (A cool toned magenta patted on the lid.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Chaotic Evil (BRIGHT neon like pink tapped on the inner corner of the lid.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Shinigami (Shimmery dark purple patted and blended onto the outer corner of the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Nijiro (Shimmery ivory with rainbow sparkles used in the crease.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Junkie (Peacock teal smudged under the eye. I wish I had set this with a powder curses!)
Nyx e/s in black (Lined lightly to create an outline for the curve.)
Milani eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes!

lips-
Wet n Wild lipstick in Taj-mauve-hal

I loved this look but it's been so hot it started to crease a lot earlier then usual. I'm not sure if you've read but it's the middle of March and Ohio is having 80 weather. Usually at this time of year we have about a foot of snow on the ground. Since the weather has been so weird I've been wearing a lot of nude eyeshadow and black liner. I'll take a picture tomorrow of my standard make-up, maybe I'll even throw in a tutorial. Thank you guys for your continuing support, you like me! You really like me! (sobs un-controlably)

Frankie's Disco Scene-fotd

I wore this on Thursday when I was going to visit a friend who lives in downtown Kent. I guess all the college students decided that it was going to be a faux Saint Patrick's day on the thirteenth because Saint Patty's day fell on everyone's Spring Break. We had been downtown before the rush in the afternoon. Cassie and I had our palms read and munched on home made chocolates in the park. It was one of the better days I've had!

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Arcane Magick eyeshadow in Bride of Frankenstein (Gorgeous bright blue with turquoise and pink sparkles gently blended into the crease.)
Darling Girl cosmetics e/s in Live Wire (Brillant silver patted on the lid.)
Wet n Wild Vanity palette (Matte ivory and shimmery ivory used to highlght.)
Nyx e/s in black (Used to line the upper lash line and create a smokey looking winged liner effect.)
NYC Liquid eyeliner in black (Used to trace the black shadow line for a bit more definition closest to the lash line.)
Nyx jumbo pencil in Milk (Used on waterline.)
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes

lips-
Darling Girl cosmetics Color Rich lip balm in Love is an Act (Rich strawberry color with pretty silvery sparkles.)

I really loved this look and I kept getting compliments by drunk people when I passed by bars. Blue is such a great color to wear if you know which kind of blue you can wear. Some people don't like wearing hooker blue eyeshadow but if it looks good wear it!

Bit of Luck-fotd

For this Spring break from school I went to Kent to visit my school friends. Surprisingly the weather has been AMAZING! I'm talking a weeks worth of warm days which never happens this early in March. I took a crap ton of pictures and frolicked in the fields. On Wednesday we went to the hookah bar so I tossed this on. This isn't my favorite look of all time but it did look really nice in low light.

What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
Fyrinnae e/s in OMGWTF (Chartreuse color blended onto the crease.)
Darling Girl e/s in Mayor's Daughter (Rich metallic gold swiped on the inner corner of the lid.)
Darling Girl e/s in Squirrel Hunter (Forest green patted on the lid.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Mildew (Run along the lower lash line.)
Mac e/s in Jealousy Wakes (Bright blue based green used along the lower lash line and also to blend the crease and lid color seamlessly.)
Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette (Cream color applied to highlight the brow bone and cheeks.)
NYC Liquid eyeliner in Black
Milani eyeliner in black
Tarte Lights! Camera! Lashes! (I picked this up on the 13th when the mascara was only $10 instead of it's usualy $19.)

lips-
NYX Round lipstick in Tea Rose

It was so nice having a vacation away from home, I didn't do much besides sleep and hang out. I usually take care of everything in my house since my Mom has been sick so I needed this small vacation. Now I feel rested and ready to take on the next six weeks of school. Aw yeah!

Greed is good, Greed is Green-fotd

Wah! Don't you hate it when your colors all blend together in photographs? I swear this was prettier in person. So, lately I've been watching a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this is a good thing since I am now on Spring break and have nothing to do for a while. I forgot how much I loved this show! I had stopped watching it mid-way through season two because I hate character deaths. Incase you didn't know Joss Whedon likes to kill off his characters, a lot. (And I am a sensitive person who cries when fictional characters die.)

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
Fyrinnae e/s in Aztec Gold (Green-gold shadow patted on the lid.)
Detrivore e/s in Greed (Shimmery yellow gold used in the crease.)
Femme Fatale cosmetics e/s in Poison (A bright chartreuse patted on the inner corner of the lid.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Mildew (Run along the lower lash line.)
Wet n Wild palette in Comfort Zone (Shimmery cream used to highlight.)
Random black eyeliner
NYC Liquid eyeliner in black
Mascara

lips-
Wet n Wild lipstick in Taj-mauve-hal

Weeee!!!! This week I'm going to Kent to visit Cassie. It's going to be so much fun even though I have to study and write a paper. Such fun! Such fun!

Workin' in the Coal Mine-fotd

This was something that could have gone horribly wrong but came out looking amazing. I this last Tuesday and went out to dinner with a few friends. I know it took me like twenty million years to post this! This look features a new shadow from the Darling Girl cosmetics Hunger Games collection called Only One Can Win.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
Darling Girl Diamond Dust in Lucy in the Sky (Soft grey based blue swirled into the crease.)
Darling Girl e/s in The Seam (A taupy grey that has turned brown on me! I patted this on the lid.)
Wet n Wild Vanity Palette (Matte ivory used to highlight, you know, the usual!)
Nyx e/s in black (Used to line the upper lash line.)
NYC Liquid eyeliner in black (Used to line thinly on top of the black shadow. I wanted to have a smokey look but still have the eyes defined.)
Sephora Electro blah de blah eyepencil in Electro Marine
Mascara

lips-
Morgana Cryptoria lipstick in Roses and Violets

I'm usually a tee-shirt and jeans kind of girl but I've been trying to branch out by dressing better. I'm not one of those people who likes bringing attention to themselves so this has been hard for me. I hope I can dress as loudly as my personality is instead of hiding in my super hero tee-shirts, slouching around. Maybe, just maybe there is an outfit of the day in your future. Love you guys!

Let the Games Begin-fotd

Hunger Games fans assemble! If you haven't heard of The Hunger Games you are about to since the movie is coming out this month! I'll spare explaining it to you since I am pretty crap at summarizing. Susan of Darling Girl cosmetics included Wendy, Robyn, Mandy and myself in the making of her new Hunger Games inspired collection called Only One Can Win And if I am not mistaken the collection just went live today. I wanted to include some swatches but I am a terrible blogger so here are some other people's swatches instead; check out Wendy's and Robyn's amazing swatches. Susan has come up with some seriously unique colors for this collection so even if you aren't a Hunger Games fan you should love these shadows.

What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Darling Girl Glitter Glue
Darling Girl e/s in Fire Inside t (A fire-y copper orange swirled into the crease. Love this shade.)
Wet n Wild Vanity Palette (Matte ivory used to highlight the brow bone. Shimmery yellow toned ivory used to highlight as well.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Perversion
NYC liquid eyeliner in black
Mascara

lips-
Darling Girl Holo-Gloss in Queen of Hearts (Sheer multi-faceted shimmery red gloss.)

I'll have another new look for you up soon and hopefully some swatches of my own. I might even post some pictures I took for my photography class. Thank you guys for following me and reading my posts. I love you guys!
