Stick With Me Kid, You'll Go Far-fotd

"Stick with me kid I'll make you the bees knees, the Cats pajamas! Every man in town will be bending to your will as you shimmy into town."
Today I jumped into the car to grab some lunch with my fiance and brother, once I was settled my brother tossed me a box. I thought it was my Darling Girl order but that didn't make much sense to me since it was just shipped yesterday from Texas. I opened it and to my surprise two perfect lip sticks were waiting inside. Kathy EFFIN' Jacobs had sent me ANOTHER gift! This time I didn't cry but I did give a shriek of happiness. When I swatched the lipsticks on my hand my brother looked back in amazement. "Dude, that's orange as balls." He said excited for me. YES! My first orange lipstick! Along with Bee's Knees (the orange) Kathy had sent me Totally Tubular which is a dupe of Mac's Candy Yum Yum. (A lipstick I have been lusting after for MONTHS.) Thank you Kathy, you give the best just because gifts. I really have to find a way to repay you for you're awesomeness.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Detrivore e/s in Resistance (My favorite dark brown applied to the outer corner and crease. Also blended onto the second half of the lid as well as the lower lash line.)
Wet n Wild Vanity palette
-Tan brown blended into the crease up to the brow's inner corner a bit like a c shape.
-sparkly ivory used on the inner corner of the lid and the first half of the lid
-Matte brown blended into the outer crease and towards the lid.
-Golden sparkly brown used in the crease and up to the brow's inner corner.
Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black (Applied with a sharpened eyeliner pencil.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Mascara

lips-
Morgana Cryptoria lipstick in Bee's Knees

I actually tried a look nearly identical to this look yesterday, except I didn't use eyeliner on my top lash. I really liked how it turned out the first time so I did it again after Wendy suggest a brown cut crease. This is kind of a cut crease, it's very subtle and blended. I'm going to be trying this look with a few different colors tomorrow afternoon. :)

Jealousy Walks in the Shade-fotd

Heather of Eyeconic Make-up sent me a huge surprise today! My brother slammed a package on the table which shocked me considering I wasn't expecting anything. When I opened I found a cute little bat, a bar of my favorite chocolate (Milky way.) and Jealousy Wakes. I cried. I don't own any Mac because of how pricey it is but Jealousy Wakes was one of the shadows I really wanted. Heather thank you so much I freaking love you!

While there are plenty of bad/difficult things going on in our little part of the beauty world it's nice to know that there are friends that have you're back. I feel like soon everything will be back to the way it's suppose to be. The love and support that made us will be back. In the mean while lets just all indulge in the Halloween collections Black Rose Minerals, Evil Shades, Darling Girl Cosmetics, and Fyrinnae are putting out. They look AMAZING!
Stay sparkly my friends.

Equinox Sorceress-Experiment

Usually I am absolutely shart at applying black eyeshadows. They make me nervous because I can't seem to blend them as well as I like. I've never done a fully black eye but I did want to experiment a bit to see if I can ever pull off a dark lid color. I admit I stole this idea from the lovely Wendi of Make-up Zombie. I loved her most recent look where she used a black base with dark eyeshadows on the lid. It looked so pretty on her that I just had to copy it!

What I used:

Eyes-
Fyrinnae P.E.
Fyrinnae e/s in Darling Misfits (A beautiful pink with teal sparkles applied in the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Sorceress (My favorite black with multi-hued sparkles used on the lid.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Meerkat (My oldest Fyrinnae shadow, a purple with gold sparkles applied over D.M.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Nijiro (Used to highlight the upper brow bone.)
Estee Lauder e/s in Pink Ice (Sparkly sheer light pink used on the inner corner of the lid.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Wet n Wild concealer stick in Very Fair (Applied on the waterline.)
Mascara

lips-
Nyx round lipstick in Nyx

Oh! I have to tell you guys! While out with my friend I discovered a few eyeshadow palettes from the Wet n Wild Dreamweaver collection. I've been looking for this collection since July so I was surprised when I discovered three palettes. Happily two of the three were doubles! That means a giveaway will be coming up soon! I also discovered a 2010 Holiday palette tucked behind sale items. I was so shocked. I thought they had all been snatched up. So I tossed that in my basket and hummed happily to the cash register. I shall be posting swatches of the Dreamweaver palettes soon!

No Rest for the Wicked-fotd

"No there ain't no rest for the wicked. Money don't grow on trees. I've got bills to pay, I've got mouths to feed. There ain't nothin' in this world for free. No I can't slow down, I can't hold back. Though I know I wish I could. Oh no there ain't no rest for the wicked. Till we close our eyes for good." - Ain't No Rest for the Wicked by Cage the Elephant.
I wore this last Friday and I am just getting around to posting it. I'm a bad blogger. I haven't had much time for blogging thanks to school and life. School this semester isn't hard considering I'm back at my community college I'm just trying to keep up with my studies. I'm trying to get a job at my local craft store so I can start working towards saving up for an apartment or something. This may mean I will be blogging a lot less but the plus side would mean more giveaways. Giveaways are fun because giving presents is more fun the getting them I think. But I haven't gotten the job yet so in the meant time expect a lot more looks.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae P.E.
Fyrinnae e/s in Sleepy Hallow
Fyrinnae e/s in Wicked
Fyrinnae e/s in Nijiro
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Milani eyeliner in black
Mascara

lips-
Actually I can't recall what I used on my lips. I believe I left them bare for once.

Hmm I should start posting Halloween looks shouldn't I? I think this year I'm going to show you guys how to look gross and decayed this Halloween season. What else should I do? Nothing sexy please. I don't like freezing my nunga-nungas off whilst I go trick or treating.

Just a Simple Tailor and Cardassian Spy-fotd

Ah the Cardassians, blood thirsty for power, blind to other peoples blight and lovers of fish coffee. The Cardassians remind me of the oily politician of the universe. You can see that they want to help you but something just seems off. Their smile doesn't reach their eyes and their phaser gun is certainly not set to stun. The Cardassians appear to have evolved from some sort of crab which could be why they have scales around their eyes, neck and down their backs. The "spoon" shape in the middle of their forehead that was put into their planet's crest.
They prefer hot, dark places like caves with hot springs. On their home world they have a series of spas that would be to hot for other humanoids. Their government was very powerful until the terroristic fights between their people and the the planet they occupied for fifty years called Bajior. The Bajiorians fought bitterly against the Cardassians while their planets resources were sucked dry. It wasn't until after the Federation became involved that they began to peace talks. Even those were hard thanks to many left over Bajorn terrorist cells and even group of ex-officers from Starfleet called the Marqui.
I chose the grays, whites and blacks to represent their skin. The cut-crease is suppose to emulate their sunken in eyes and heavy lids. I tried smirking in the pictures but my Cardassian smirk is no where near as good as my Klingon rage face.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Nyx jumbo e/s pencil in Milk (Used as base and to line the waterline.)
Detrivore cosmetics e/s in Golgotha (A soft light gray used on the lid.)
Nyx e/s in Black (Used on the lower crease to create shape. Also used along the lower part of the lower lid to create shape.)
Evil shades e/s in Phoenix (A lovely darker gray used in the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Dinosaur Plushie (Sparkly multi-faceted silver applied to the ball of the lid wet.)
Sugarpill e/s in Tako (Used to highlight the inner corner of the lid, the brow bone, along the lower lash line and overtop the line between the crease and lower lash line.)
Almay Liquid eyeliner in black (Small black line to give the eye some definition.)
Mascara

lips-
Nyx Round Lipstick in Rae

I was planning this look in class. It was between taking notes I swear! I also drew out the Vulcan eye but I need to learn to cover my brows better for that look!

Upside Down Smokey-Fotd/Make-up Heros

Recently the Make-up Heroes decided to reproduce Marlena of Make-up Geek fame recent look the upside down smokey eye. It was a straight forward look that we all thought was pretty and could be emulated then tweaked to fit our own eye shape. I stupidly forgot to mention in the video anything about eye shapes. Derp on my part! As you can tell my eye shape is a bit of a rounded almond. The edges of my lower lash line point upwards so making the smoked out lower lash line into a nearly cat eye made my eyes appear wider and sexier. I did deepen the crease a bit because my crease is not as defined as Marlena's I like having definition so my eyes don't look to flat. I think the next time I try this look I will use teal, I bet it'd look fantastic.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFSI
Wet n Wild Vanity Palette (The ivory used on the whole lid. The sandy tan used to contour the crease. Plus the shimmery ivory dotted onto the inner corner of the lid.)
Wet n Wild Dark Brown eyeliner (Applied to the lower lash line.)
Detrivore cosmetics e/s in Resistance (Beautiful dark brown applied along the lower lash line.)
Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black
Mascara

lips-
Nyx Round lipstick in Peach (Not a peachy color at all. More so a pretty berry color.)

I wore this to school since I was running a bit late for class. I was compliment by the girl sitting next to me who usually sees me bare faced. My fiance even liked it, he always surprised when I wear easy/neutral looks. I guess he's used to my colors hee-hee.

Rejection Comes in Threes-3 fotds

Some of you ladies wanted to see my "fails" so here they are. I didn't want to post what I used but if you'd like to know comment and I shall leave it in the box. These are mostly "fails" for blending reasons. Either I didn't do a good job blending or the shadow came out patchy for some reason. :D I hoped you enjoy these three looks.

Fyrinnae e/s in Te Amo (Copper gold rubbed into the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Sake and Sashimi (Brown bronze used wet to line the upper lash line.)

GAH TO MANY NEUTRAL LOOKS. Not that there is anything wrong with neutral looks it just seems that I have lost my groove. Any color ideas or cool pictures you'd like to dump in the comments? I'd love some help.
