Happy Halloween!
And Happy Samhain to my witchy friends. Lets celebrate by watching Halloween tutorials on youtube and drinking loads of spiked apple cider. I'm going to be passing out candy this year instead of trick or treating. I think I may be a "zipper zombie." What are you going to be this year sparkle friends?

Purple People Eater-Never Too Much Sparkle Showcase
Recently I read Lovecraft's The Nameless City, a short story about a young man who venters into the Arabian desert in search of an ancient city. Like most Lovecraft stories you don't see the "monster." The tension simply builds and builds till finally the main character reaches their doom. What does this have to do with a funny kid's poem about flying purple people eaters? Nothing, unless you count a mystically unseen monster that frightens the people of all ages. (Ok maybe not all ages. Maybe like six year olds but Lovecraft's monsters are f*cking scary man.)
What I used:
Face- (Or rather half of the face.)
Holika Holika BB Cream
Wet n Wild single e/s in Cream
Wet n Wild Blush in Heather Silk
Eyes-
TFSI
L'oreal Chrome eyeliner pencil in Violet (Used as a base all over the lid and on the lower lash line.)
Sugarpill e/s in Poison Plum (Perfectly plum patted onto the lid and blended into the crease.)
Shiro cosmetics e/s in Butterfree (A shimmery lavender-purple used in the crease.)
Shiro cosmetics e/s in Jigglypuff (Shimmery lilac blended into the lower crease also used on the inner corner of the lid.)
Shiro cosmetics e/s in Meowth (Shimmery ivory used to highlight the brow bone.)
Almay liquid eyeliner
Nyx e/s in Black (Used to connect the lower lash line with the upper lid.)
Milani eyeliner in black
Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter eyeliner in Distortion (A teal-pink glitter used on the lower lash line corner.)
lips-
Company That Must Not Be Named lipstick in Ultra Violet
I'm trying to use more of my stash since lately my looks have all been using Fyrinnae or Darling Girl. Those are my favorite companies right now but I gotta give love to all the other shadows I own. It's like re-discovering your favorite book. You remember why you love it once you turn the page. I'm copying the shopping one's stash idea from Wendi, check out her new series. You should also check out The Make up Heroes channel for new videos and tutorials.

Karmic Bongos-fotd
Also known as In Which She Applies Her Lipstick Like a Fool a-yup. My Mother let me borrow her small digital camera since mine is busted. It doesn't take very good close up shots like my camera does so I was a bit miffed when all the close ups of my eye make-up came out blurry. That's why I did mostly full faced, half closed eye pictures.
I drew this look up in class while I was waiting for the teacher to set up. I doodled several more eye charts that I really liked. Apparently my groove is on it's way back. Usually I'm at my "artistic peek" in Autumn. It's very odd. I used several of my under used Hi-Fi cosmetics eyeshadow samples. I'm sad to say that I haven't bought from Hi-Fi in a while because I am a lunatic. My samples are kinda old so I may end up giving them away to justify buying more. We shall see.
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Fyrinnae e/s in Shinigami (A plummy-black based purple patted on the lid. Pat this color do not blend otherwise it will turn blacker then purple.)
Hi-Fi cosmetics e/s in Things That Cannot Speak (A plum purple blended into the inner crease.)
Hi-Fi cosmetics e/s in Living Large (A pinky-purple my fav, gently blended into the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Mischief Makers (A cool toned sheer silver/white used to highlight.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Snow Bunny (A sheer lovely lilac blended into the inner corner.)
Wet n Wild Liquid eyeliner in pen in black (Meh.)
Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Flipside (Used on the lower lash line.)
Mascara
lips-
Morgana Cryptoria Totally Tubular (Rubbed on the lips by an idiot.)
I have more looks drawn out that I can't wait to try. Maybe a few Star Trek looks are coming too! Who knows!
What would you guys like to see? More looks of a certain type? More special effects make-up artistry? I'd really love some feedback!

Oh No! + Camera Chatter
(My pumpkin is the first, then my fiance Shaun's, then my friend Renee's and her husband Mark's! YAY TROLL FACE PUMPKIN!)
My camera is busted! Or rather the flash is broken. While at one of my best friend's wedding the flash bulb decided it would be a good time to go out. Thankfully it died right as the wedding was ending. I would have been so angry if it had died before that. I had been noticing a problem with the flash before it died but I hadn't paid it much mind. The flash had been abnormally bright the last few times I'd use the camera as well as oddly tinted yellow.

I called Nikon to ask them what was up. Thanks to Nikon's great service we were able to come up with the problem. So I'm sending it in Monday to get fixed. Oh! Since a few of you have asked I should probably mention that my camera is a Nikon Coolpix L110. If you want a good camera that takes amazing macro shots then this one is for you. Someday I hope to get the Canon Rebel. Every time I see that camera I drool a little. A friend of mine has one, her pictures are so clear. Gah why are they so pricey? Someday though...someday...
What kind of camera do you guys use? Are you interested in photography at all? Tell me! I'd love to know.

Blood Eclipse-fotd
The veil is lifting between the worlds. As it gets closer to Samhain you can see magic shimmering in the air like gossamer shifting on a dress. Jack o' lanterns are flecked across fields and house stoops preventing demons from breaking in. The sky is growing darker while witches fly across the full moon. Where the sun sinks low, casting red light instead of gold. Corn mazes spring up with free apples that fall from heavy laden trees. I'm so happy autumn is here. I wish it would never leave. People think that Faerie is eternally spring, I think that it's always autumn.
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Fyrinnae e/s in Candy Coated (Metallic blood red used all over the lid as well as along the inner corner of the lid.)
Darling Girl Spectral Shifts in Will-o-whisp (A sheer red highlight used all over the lid and on the inner corner of the lid.)
Darling Girl e/s in Jack's Lantern (A black base with red sheen used to crease the crease shape.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Dorian Grey (Black packed with multi-shimmer used on the inner crease and along the lower lash line.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Purgatory (Blackened red with red shimmer used between the lid and inner crease.)
Sugarpill e/s in Tako (Used to highlight the cheeks, under the brow and nose bridge.)
Almay liquid eyeliner in black
Milani liqui'feye liner in black
Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black
Mascara
lips-
Morgana Cryptoria Lipstick in Bees Knees
I wanted to make this look a little witchier then normal. Thus the sparkly background and wand. The background is actually a bolt of sheer cloth I bought around Halloween five years ago. I love taking pictures against it since it's got a beautiful teal/purple shift. I kinda want an eyeshadow like it, I won't lie.
I wanted to give a special thanks to my new followers and a thank you to my old ones. Your comments always make my day. If you are usually a lurker please feel free to comment. I don't bite I promise. I'll be having a special surprise coming for you guys so keep a heads up.

As you can probably tell I'm no longer sick. Thank goodness. I hate being sick. I'm a very restless person by nature so if I can't leave the house I got stir crazy. I became well just in the nick of time since one of my best friends is getting married on Thursday. She asked me to do her make-up for the big day and I said yes. I'm really excited. It's a small wedding, nothing formal or big since her fiance is only on leave for week. I am beyond happy for them. I'll post pictures of their wedding if you guys are interested. Gotta love a wedding.

Depression Awareness Month-The Make Up Heroes
October is not only Breast Cancer Awareness month (Please visit Team Pinkeye to donate and learn more.) but also Depression Awareness month. Depression awareness is very important to me because many important people in my life suffer from it. It's rather hard for me to type since I have lost two friends to suicide and nearly lost four others. Depression has shaped my life more then a disease should. My Mother suffered silently for years until my Grandmother's death drove her over the edge. She was in a deep depression for over a year until she finally got some help. She still has days where she can't get out of bed because the only thing she can do is sleep. But patience and understanding has helped my family move past the hurt.
The Make Up Heroes and I chose to do a look using green since depression is represented by a green ribbon. We hope that by doing this more and more people will become aware of depression. Depression isn't something to laugh at nor to be ignored. If you or someone you know might be suffering you should talk to them about it or seek some help. This could be the difference between life and death. The signs can be small, repeat bouts of sadness. The unwillingness to care about the things you used to love. They signs can be big to. Cutting, suicidal tendencies and substance abuse are some of the biggest symptoms. Depression does not necessarily mean you have had a difficult life or childhood. Sometimes depression shows up in the most unlikely of people including teens, new mothers and young people. Please do not hesitate to talk to someone about how you are feeling.
For more information on Depression please look here. If you are feeling lost with thoughts of suicide please call The Suicide Hotline . If you are a teen and you are having issues with any of the above symptoms please use this website to find a hotline that can apply to you. These people are always willing to listen to your problems and help you find a solution.
The most important thing for you to remember: You are not alone.

The Host of Bastet-fotd
Today I was going slightly stir crazy from boredom. I've only been at home or at school for the past few days because of my illness. Somedays I'll have the strength to go to school, other days I'll only be able to lay in bed. Today was one of the lay in bed days so I decided to slap on some make-up. I followed the theme for this weeks Never to Much Sparkle make-up showcase. Never to Much Sparkle is a new Facebook group invented by Wendi the Makeup Zombie. If you like her work you will love the group! The theme this week was Punk Rock n Roll. I admit my look is not as punk as I wanted it. It's way more classic rock then punk since that's what I was listening to while I did it. I can't wait to see what the next theme is!
What I used:

You need to follow both blogs because these ladies are fantastic. You should also check out the Make-up Heroe's youtube channel since we have a few new videos up. We've worked hard on our channel and I hope it shows. Sorry for all the links, since I've been in bed most of the day I've been able to catch up on my blog reading. Update!
Hello Friends,
I seem to have caught a dreadful cold. I'm afraid there won't be any posts for a bit until I am feeling better. I don't believe I will be ill for long but just incase I thought I'd put this out! I've lost my voice so all I can do is squeak. Be lucky you can't hear me squeaking as it's very annoying.
I love you guys!
Stay Healthy!

The Crescent Dragon-fotd
Yesterday I was looking for something that I hadn't done before. And I realized I hadn't done an eyeshadow used as liner in a while. A year or so ago I did a lot of looks like this using Aromaleigh's Lost in Faerie collection which was my favorite. So I dug through a few Aromaleigh samples I hadn't used in a while and tossed this look together. I had written a story to go along with the look but as I got into writing it I realized it was way to long to post on my blog. Once I'm done writing it I'll post it on my poetry blog for you guys to read.
What I used:
Eyes-
Aromaleigh e/s in Crescent (A shimmery haunting yellow used on the lid.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Binary (Soft, new leaf green used in the crease.)
Detrivore e/s in Harpy (A lovely pink based purple wet lined along the lash line.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Milky Way (Perfect cool cream used to highlight.)
Nyx jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk (Used on the waterline.)
Mascara
lips-
Unknown brand in Fire Shine
Tomorrow my friend Natalie and I are going to pick up my best friend Heather from Bowling Green. I'm really excited to see her since it's been a few weeks. Where we live is on one side of Ohio and where her school is on the other side. We could probably drive thirty minutes longer and get to Michigan when we are in Bowling Green. So I may not be tweeting or blogging this weekend so I can spend time with my BFF's. What was the longest you went without seeing your BFF? Mine was three months, boy was that hard.

Nice Sprites-Fotd
I'm not sure if this look really fit this my eye shape but I did enjoy wearing the color with a low key crease. I was surprised at how fast this look took to do. I think if your eyes aren't as deeper set like mine that you can rock a "smokey" eye like this.
Uhm yes I did steal the time from this Skrillex Song. Sweet ever loving baby eating O'Brian you should really listen to this song if you like dubstep. Oh you should also listen to this song by Deadmau5. I blast this when I'm in the shower so I can scream/sing badly along. My youngest brother has become a really big fan of dubstep. He introduced his school friends to Deadmau5 and Skrillex so now his entire school is taken with dubstep. He told me that dubstep is perfect for kids with ADD like him and his friends. "Lots of weird wahm-wahms and booms to pay attention to. Which is a rare thing for me." Oh out of the mouth of babes.
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Fyrinnae e/s in Faerie Glamour (Is it blue, purple, maybe perwinkle? Used on the lid.)
Darling Girl Spectral Shift in Ghost Light (A sheer teal with a green and blue sheen in the crease.)
Wet n Wild Vanity Palette (Shimmery ivory used to highlight and warm the look up a tad.)
Almay Liquid eyeliner in black
Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black
Mascara
lips-
Morgana Cryptoria Lipstick in Roses and Violets
Thanks for sticking with me you guys. I know my posts have been fewer lately. I'll be rewarding you with a contest soon. You guys are great. *Big internet hug*

Clutching the Candy Corn-fotd
Today has been a bad day. Maybe it's the rain? I'm not exactly sure. On Thursday I received my Darling Girl Halloween collection order which made my weekend. The colors are so gorgeous I'm really pleased I waited till the Halloween collection to place my order. I would love to buy the petite set of the collection because the samples are a lot smaller then I expected. If you love Halloween just as much as I do you should check out Darling Girl's new collection! I used mostly D.G. colors because I love them so much! (It does help though that I helped name a few of the colors.)
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Darling Girl e/s in Pumpkin Eater (Creamy orange with green glitter used on the lid.)
Darling Girl e/s in Jacks Lantern (Blackened purpled rubbed into the outer crease.)
Darling Girl e/s in Monarch (Gorgeous red brown applied to the crease and brushed on the lower lash line.)
Darling Girl e/s Spectral Shifts in Will-0-Wisp (Shifting sheer red used to highlight the brow bone and the inner corner of the lid.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Nijiro (Sheer warm ivory brushed lightly right under the brow.)
Almay Liquid eyeliner in black
Wet n Wild cream eyeliner in black
Mascara
lips-
Nyx Lipgloss in French Kiss
I'm also waiting on edge for the Fyrinnae Halloween Collection. The Chemist on twitter showed several pictures of the new shadows plus the lip lusters. Fyrinnae is my favorite company so I was jumping around when I saw these pictures. What are you guys waiting for or whose Halloween collection are you most excited about?
