Autumn Flapper-Fotd

I won't lie, I was going to rant about how craptastic my week has been. Then... I spoke to my Mom. Sometimes the littlest of things can make you happy. My Mom is pretty awesome and restored my sense of balance. My mom is sick from a lot of things but she still makes other people feel better. She's an RN at a local Assisted Living Home and a first generation American with her second language being English. I learned everything about make-up, taking care of people and being annoyingly nice to enemies from her. Yay mommies!
So about this look, I love flapper girls, especially their sense of style. Though I didn't do this in the traditional round eyeshadow but the bow style lips are flapper style I believe. Flapper girls didn't wear corsets, they cut their hair short and they drank hooch from illegal bars. Oh yes, the baddest girls around. Maybe not some one to look up to but defiantly some girls to admire.

What I used in this look:

Face-
Too Faced Poreless Primer
Hard Candy concealer palette
Fyrinnae mineral foundation
Aromaleigh You're a Doll Finishing Powder
Evil Shades blush in Ravishing

Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinne Pixie Epoxy
High Voltage cosmetics e/s in Bloody Mary (Sexy blood red used on lid.)
High Voltage cosmetics e/s in Graveyard Dirt (The most perfect brown of perfect browns on the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in French Vanilla Shake
Milani eyeliner in black
NYC liquid eyeliner in black
Cover girl mascara

lips-
Nyx Round Lipstick in Rae
Estee Lauder lipstick in Fig (placed on the pout and cupids bows of the lips and blended out.)

I did receive my contest prizes from Julissa I haven't used anything yet except for One Hand washes the Other's legendary Deep Black soap. My face feels amazing. I had been crying so my make-up was wrecked, running down my cheeks and it cleaned it well. I must confess that since my Lush's Angels on Bare Skin ran out I've been using Anti-bacterical soap/ Neutrogena acne clearing/redness reducing soap on my face. Neither of these satisfy my skin well but the deep black totally did after one use. I can't wait to write up a review on it.

  2. I'm sorry your week's been so bad, but I'm glad you're doing better. Your mom sounds wonderful!

I love this look, and I love flappers. I totally think they're good role models, with their spirit of rebellion at social constraints and expectations. Plus they had fun, who doesn't want that.
