Quick Update
Hey guys I'm having a flare up of my GERD which leaves me weak, tired and in pain most of the time. I don't think I'll be able to do much make-up this weekend. I may be able to do a zombie look if I feel up to it but I can't make any promises. I'm really sorry you guys I was hoping to have a really productive weekend. :/

Zombies and Experiments in Runway Make-up
This is Julia, she lives on floor and is not your average sorority girl. She asked me to do a practice run for Halloween since I'm turning my whole floor into zombies. It's going to be a bit stressful but since I've been learning I know it will get easier. I just bought some liquid latex which will be easer to use then eye lash glue. I think the blood is a little too bright but other wise I like what I did. Next time I'm not adding as much blood or I'm just adding it around the mouth. Sadly I wasn't able to practice the spray method since she didn't want to get her clothes dirty. :D
This runway look is based on a 2007 John Gallilano show. I bloody loved the look when I saw it on tumblr. The Gallilano shows are my favorite the make-up is always amazing and the girls are always beautiful.
What I used:
Face-
Hot Topic White Face Powder (Used lightly to add a good base.)
Nyx Blush in Pink (Used around eyes and to temples then blended outwards.)
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
High Voltage e/s in Hard Rock (Used on the inner corner of the lid
High Voltage e/s in Starstruck (Gorgeous orange used on the lid and blended upwards.)
High Voltage e/s in Fairy Blood (Bright red-orange used to the eyebrows.)
Hot Topic eyeliner in Red (Used on the waterline.)
Covergirl Mascara in Black
Nyc eyeliner (As the eyebrows)
lips-
Fantasy Maker Berry Color
What do you think? It was loads of fun and I really want to do more of these types of looks.

Of Silver Moons and Peacocks -Fotds
I'm staying at Kent this weekend just so I can hang out and see what campus is like on the weekends. Tonight my floor mates and I are going to a hookah bar. I've never gone to a hookah bar before, one of my friends owns his own hookah so we never had to pay to go to one before. I really like the way hookahs look and I myself am considering buying one.
In other news I tried to stretch my ears to the next gauge (16g is what they usually pierce your ears with I tried to go to a 14 gauge.) I've gotten some great advice on how to do this but I don't think my ears are cut out for stretching. My body heals really fast so when I tried to put the taper through it hurt to much. Then the next day when I went to try and do it my earring hole was closed up on one side. I've had my ears pierced since I was two. *sighs*
It's weird because I've always had trouble with ear piercings but my nose healed great after I switch jewelry. Oh well I think I'll just stick of facial piercings for right now. :D
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Evil Shades Stars glitter in Elf Star (Used on the lid with a flat brush. I love this glitter it's so soft and wonderful.)
Evil Shades e/s in Khoran ( Dark blue used in the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Nijiro (Used as a highlighting color.)
NYC eyeliner in Black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in zero
Mascara of course. n.n
lips-
Nyx Round lipstick in Thalia ( Which still has a shit ton left despite how much I've used it.)
Oh yes all you guys see is my ~*pretty*~ face so I thought I'd show you what I really look like haha. I do this Billy Idol sneer often when I'm trying to look tough.
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
High Voltage e/s in Frost Bite (Bright blue used on the lid.)
Hi-Fi cosmetics e/s in Sex, drugs, and rock n roll (Bright amazing purple color used in the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Nijiro
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Flipside (Teal used on the lower lid.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Zero
NYC eyeliner in Black

lips-
Fyrinnae Lip Luster in Lollypop-pop
I'm going to be announcing the winners of the contest this weekend. I hope you guys are doing well!!

Neutral Eye for Smaller Eyes-Tutorial
I was asked by my friend LittleIsis to base a look off of a picture she sent me. The colors aren't completely accurate but they are close enough. The look is meant for women who have smaller eyes or eyes that have an almond shape to them. I myself have roundish shaped eyes so my eyes will not look the way your eyes will.
Step One: Have your eyes already primed and based, for the base I used Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy. Use an ivory or cream colored sparkly eyeshadow up around the eyebrow and down the bridge of your nose to your inner eyelid.
Step Two: Using a tan/golden colored eyeshadow on a flat shader brush place the color on to the middle of your lid then blend out a bit till it meets the ivory in the corner of your eye.
Step Three: Apply a darker brown or bronze color on the outer corner of your lid. Blend upwards into the crease. Add a tiny more on to your brush and blend towards the middle of your eye on the crease line. This will add depth to your eye as well as make them appear larger.
Step Four: Darken up the crease with a small amount of black or deep brown. I used the deep brown because I find black to be a bit to harsh with browns.
Step Five: Line your upper lash line with a color of your choosing. I chose black since it makes your eye lashes appear longer. Do not I repeat do not line your entire eye with black if you have smallish eyes. This will make your eyes appear smaller. Use a white or peach color on the water line and a gray or brown to tight line. Mascara pulls the whole look together, there you're done!
Red lips look amazing with neutrals but so do hot pink lips. The red makes it pin-upesque with the pink adds a modern touch. I recommend putting on foundation and blush after you do your eye make-up. This makes it easier to brush away fall out from your eyeshadow. I hope you found this look helpful. In the near future I will be doing a neutral eye for wider eyes and rounder shaped eyes.

Feeding Cherries to Cerberus-Fotd
Cerberus guards the door to the underworld. In some legends he is the boatman that takes you down the river Styx. In others he is the three headed dog that eats your soul if you cannot pay the way to the after life. This was my mistake. I was a young teen when I died, it wasn't a tragic death or a brave one I passed away in my sleep from an aneurysm. This may seem like a stupid way to die but it's a normal thing that happens to people. Or at least that's what the Doctor's told my parents after the autopsy, I was just hanging around for a few days to see what my funeral was going to be like.
I had died with a pocket full of cherries in my night gown. I intended to eat them in the middle of the night, stolen from my grandfather's fruit farm. I guess death had a better plan for me. I don't recall much about the whole dying bit. Just some nice white lights, a soft surface and a warm embrace. I wasn't in heaven though, I had to pass the gates to the underworld to get where I was going.
My funeral was short. My friends all came and cried, my boyfriend who I had just started to like also cried. He stayed with my parents telling them how much he'll miss me and yadda this and yadda that. To be honest he was a good guy just a little long winded. I knew he'd tell everyone I was his soul mate or something that way he could get out of class work. I knew after a bit of time everyone including my parents would move on so I'd better do the same.
The Gates were like nothing I had ever seen before. Wrought iron with spikes would seem threatening but to me it held a comforting type of fear. All one has to do is push open the gates, walk down the steps to the river and board the boat. The boatmen would take you only if you could pay. Swallowing I grasped at the cherries in my pocket hoping they would be enough. The stairs were short despite the tales of miles and miles of decent. I skipped down them in a second, smiling at the kindly old man who sat at the helm of a great sailing ship.
"Mind your manners young lady. Pay the fine." He said tapping the side of the boat. There was a little sign near his fingers that read "Yee who don't pay, get the hell away." Dark humor? Great, this is going to be fun. I dropped two of the cherries into his out stretched palm and ran on to the boat.
The boatman shrugged and started off towards the dark tunnel of heaven or was it hell?

Hey guys the giveaway is closed! I'll be putting all the names into a hat and pulling them out. The tutorial is coming today once I finish writing up the steps. I have an exam in logic and my English class so I'm doing this between studying. Yesterday I doubt I could have written this because my head was so full of logic I couldn't think. Thankfully the muse has returned to me. :3 I hope you all entered! If you'd like to add a late entry just e-mail me at Pixiealamode at gmail dot com.

Bubble Gum Pie- Fotd
Hnnnggg I know I do this purple/pink smokey eye combo often but I just LOVE IT SO MUCH. Purple looks good on everyone and it's so simple even a camel can do it. Camels have a hard time putting on eyeshadow man so don't judge. I'm going to Bowling Green this weekend to visit my best friend. Bowling Green is near Toledo which is a three hour drive, or if you're my fiance a 3 and half hour drive because he obeys the speed limit like a good boy. *twitch* I'm really excited my best friend doesn't even have a web cam so it's not like I can see her beautiful face every day like I do my fiance's. It has been a hard with out her since she's been my backbone for over a decade. It often feels like I'm missing an arm I never thought I needed.
Luckily we both have made pretty good friends with our room mate/floor mates. Which means neither of us are completely alone. On twitter I've likened our relationship to that of Merry and Pippin from Lord of the Rings. We love each other dearly even though we are separated by hundreds of miles.
In make-up nose I've made a picture tutorial for those of whom have eyes that are closed together/smaller eyes. I was debating between posting it here or on youtube. What do you think? Which would be easier for you? Maybe even a facebook post?
What I used:

Queen of Tarts-Picture Tutorial
Step One: Apply primer, I used Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance but you can use E.L.F's Mineral eyeshadow Primer or any of the other primers that are out there today.
Step Two: I usually use Fyrinnae's Pixie Epoxy but I wanted to use satin textured eyeshadow today so instead I used Nyx's Jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk as a sticky Base.
Step Three: Here I used High Voltage Fairy Blood all over my lid with a flat shading brush by elf. Then I blended it up into the crease a little bit.
Step Four: Here I used Aromaleigh's Velvet Dream in the crease. It was not as dark as I wanted it so I blended it down. I used a fluffy blender brush for this by the way. :3
Step Five: I wanted the crease to be darker so I used Evil Shades eyeshadow in Zombie. I blended it to the side. The other eye I blended rather poorly which is why there are only pictures of this one eye. -.0
Step Six: If you'd like to add more Nyx Jumbo eyeshadow pencil under your eye and blend it out. Take a bright pink based purple and apply it on your lower lash line. You can do this with any color.
Step Seven:Add your eyeliner. Used liquid eyeliner on the top lash line to add depth to my lashes. I find this finishes the look off well. It's kind of the finishing piece in eye make-up.
Step Eight: MASCARA! If you have light lashes this is a god send. I have naturally dark lashes but they are very thin so mascara adds a bit of oomph to my other wise flat lashes.
Step Nine: Concealer, foundation and blush! For the blush I used Evil Shades blush in Gossamer which is a beautiful soft pink with violet/blue reflects. This is amazing on light skin and could be a good colored high light on dark skin. :3
You can do this with what ever colors you'd like. I think this is a good template for doing whatever you'd like. This is how I learned how to do make-up so I figured it'd be great for those of you who are just learning. Take chances, try things out, find out what's best on you. You'll be surprised what you can teach yourself.

Purple Mountain Kush-Fotd
Hee-heh I giggle every time some one names an eyeshadow or a look after Kush which is the other name for weed. I'm sorry, I'm immature and find drug humor funny. I'm a college student, it's understandable. I was bored after class so I decided to do this. I decided to do a Silhouette Screams style waterline. She does an amazing trick with powder on top of nyx jumbo eyeshadow pencils. I usually have a hard time with the powder on the waterline cause it drives me crazy buuuuuut I really wanted purple on the waterline. I keep looking for a matte purple eyeliner all over so I might have to go to Mac. (Which I loathe because... I'm not sure really. I just don't like them.) Tomorrow I swear I'll post my Evil Shades haul. I'm... just being lazy to be honest.
What I used:
Face-
Fyrinnae mineral Foundation
Evil Shades Blush in Ravishing
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Hi-Fi cosmetics e/s in Raw Shock (Bright shimmery green used on the lid.)
Evil Shades e/s in Wyvern (Sheer shimmery green/pink shade used on the brow bone and inner corner.)
High Voltage e/s in Pirate (Sexy forest green used in the crease and lower lash line.)
Nyx jumbo e/s pencil in Purple (Used on the waterline.)
High Voltage e/s in Alter Ego (Bright pink based purple used on the waterline.)
NYC eyeliner in Black
Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara in black
lips-
Nyx Round Lipstick in Narcissus
Fyrinnae Lip Luster in Lollypop-pop
Fyrinnae Lip Luster in Puppy Love (Applied on the pout of my lips.)
Ah I'm hungry I'm off to go hunt for a burger and some fries. Ah yes, college life is fantastic.

Slyphs and 'glyphs-Fotd
Swan stared at the tattoo on her brother's arm. It was thick and black, circling around his arm like a snake. He had gotten a human artist to draw it out for him then tattoo it on his arm. She wondered if it was the metal in the tattoo ink that killed him or the needle the artist used. Her father Blackbird was outraged, not only because his only son was dead but because he was murdered. The human must have known he was fae.
After Rook's funeral Swan escaped through the veil to the mortal realm. She wandered, lost, for a good while. This was not the same place she used to play in as a child. There were no fields left, the small island she used to love was now a bustling metropolis. The nugget of pain in her chest began to change to rage. It felt like she carried her brothers life in her heart now. She had not intended to avenge his death but the crazed whisperings of the sparrows around her turned her. The new world was full of metal and malice. She intended to put it right.
Swan asked the mortals where they could get tattoos in the city. She visited hundreds of small shops in the city and dotted around the bridges. Even the back allies were full of haggard looking men giving tattoos to giggling school girls. Unsuspecting of the dirty needle and tainted ink. She could smell the infection setting in with the first prick of the pin.
It was all but hopeless until one rainy day a man recognized the tattoo Swan described. He was handsome, tall and dark his hands, arms and face tattooed with beautiful symbols of love or religion. He looked like a living piece of art. Swan wanted to stroke his arms till the Virgin Mary's came alive under her palm. "My name is Michael," he told her. "I did the tattoo on your brother. He wanted something for people to remember him by."
Swan tried not to hiss, this man killed her brother but was it by accident? " My brother was allergic to metal. You killed him with your needle." The words rushed out before she could stop them. Michael's face was contoured in terror and pain. There was no way he could have known Rook was a Slyph. Swan let the anger, hate and pain fall away from her like a she was shucking a cloak. Instead of wrapping her hands around his throat she pushed her hand into his and squeezed. Forgiveness was easier then death she thought.
So did you like the story? :D

There is going to be an Evil Shades Haul post coming soon. I'm struggling with some home work right now so it may be tomorrow instead of today. Sorry guys. I'm a bit swamped because I forgot to do a ton of work over the weekend. What does this teach you kids? Finish your home work BEFORE you have fun. -.- I hope you enjoyed the short story. I love tattoos and faeries so why the hell not combined them. Though if you are a faery and your going to get a tattoo please get it done with a different type of metal. I know tattoo needles are made out of surgical steel but I'm allergic to surgical steel so... yeah. :3

Excuse me, you said Natural?-Fotd
Yup, no bright colors today. I was running late but I still wanted to put make-up on so I quickly slapped this on. My friend LittleIsis (Who writes a political blog http://mysticgirl.wordpress.com/) asked for some basic inspiring looks that she could copy. This would look good on those with smaller eyes because there is no black to close up your eyes. When you rim your eyes with black it makes them look smaller. I usually like doing it because I think it adds a certain sexiness to the eye. Try lining your eyes with plum, gray or navy blue instead of gray. Those colors are dark enough to add depth to the look but not to dark to "close" your eyes. :D (Also try applying a white/peach colored liner on your waterline. INSTANT HUGE EYES.Or to be unique used a teal/bright purple on your waterline. It's fetching as fuck.) This is a look you can wear to job interviews or just a day on the town. I hope this helps girl :D

Taffy Watermelon- Fotd
It's actually nice today! I'm so excited that fall is finally on it's way. I put this on when I got back to my dorm after classes since I wanted to feel pretty. Some days you just want to look nice for pretties sake. I'm sorry my posts have become fewer but there has been a lot of home work. My favorite class is my poetry class because the teacher is still young. When you have a younger teacher they still have the passion to teach that most older professors don't have. I've had teachers who have been on their last year and I barely learned anything. It was a semester of movies or cheap readings. I love to learn and I hate being jipped.
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinane Pixie Epoxy
Morgana Minerals e/s Ectoplasm (A bright green used on the lid.)
Morgana Minerals e/s Coraline (Soft but still bright peachy/coral color used in the crease.)

NYC liquid eyeliner in black
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Zero
Mascara
lips-
Nyx Round Lipstick in Tea Rose
I'm looking forward to another beautiful day tomorrow! What colors should I wear tomorrow? Anyone have any ideas?

Drusiclla is a little warped- fotd
If you watch Buffy then you will know who Druscilla is. A slightly psychotic (ok mostly psychotic.) vampire who is Spikes girlfriend in the second season. I honestly haven't even finished the second season so I'm unsure how it ends. I know I'm a terrible fan but I rarely finish shows I become to emotionally invested into. -.- I know weird right? Ah it happens with anime too, that's why I didn't finish Gundam Wing until recently. DON'T JUDGE ME. *runs into a corner*
I'm back at school so expect more low key looks with just my eyes. I'd rather wear eye make-up over face make-up. Although it was very chilly at home so I'm hoping it will be cool here to. ENOUGH ABOUT THE WEATHER. ON TO THE LOOK!
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Morgana Minerals e/s in Warped (Medium purple used on the lid.)
Morgana Minerals e/s in Druscilla (A BRIGHT PINK that actually works with my skinetone YES used on in the crease.)
E.L.F. Silver Lining Quad (Darker Purple applied over the Warped.)
E.L.F. Silver Lining Quad (The highlighting shade on the brow bone.)
NYX Liquid eyeliner Pen (I hate this don't use it.)
Milanai eyeliner in Black
Mascara
Lips-
Red colored chapstick
Ok several annoying questions for you pierced folk. I'd really like to get a monroe piercing ( Thank you Miss Wendi of Make-up Zombie and Phyrra for inspiring me.) and maybe my ears stretched. Since mentioning it to my fiance he'd like to get his ears stretched as well. Does one go to a piercing salon to get your ears stretched or should you just work up to it by yourself? I hope you all had a good a good Labor day! <3 <3
