I remember the orchards of my youth. The world was calmer then, we were more powerful then. The Queen and her court would often sit among the trees, braiding the hair of lost children or laughing softly as the minstrels performed. I was younger and fairer. Not the scarred battle axe I am now. My sisters would call to me from the trees, swinging their feet above my head. "Catch us! Catch us!" They would taunt,I knew they'd change into doves as soon as I held one of them, so I just let them be.
As the world aged so did the orchard. All of Faery began to grumble as the humans began to deny our world. The trees were unable to bear fruit, the scent of the peaches faded from memory. I stand next to the queen now, in the ghost of the orchard wishing the trees would bloom again.
What I used:
Face-
Hard Candy concealer palette
Fyrinnae Mineral Foundation in Opal (Dusted onto the T-zone and chin.)
E.L.F. All over shimmer stick in Pink Lemonade
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
(All Aromaleigh e/s used from here down.)
Luella eyeshadow ( A warm toned peach dusted onto the lid.)
Emernta eyeshadow ( My favorite purple with blue reflects lightly pressed in the crease.)
Rosina eyeshadow ( A metallic ivory used as a highlighting shade.)
Elysia eyeshadow ( A soft sea foam green used as an eyeliner to contrast the warmth shadows.)
Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk ( Used on the waterline.)
Milani eyeliner in black ( Upper waterline.)
Mascara
lips-
Estee Lauder Lipstick in Tea Rose
I have seriously fallen in love with this collection. When it's released I plan on buying a few full sized shadows. I rarely buy full sized shadows since I have so many samples but I've fallen hard for a few of these shades.
* I was given the Aromaleigh eyeshadows for free by the company.
I like how you used Elysia!
ReplyDeleteOooh, pretty! I really like the eye lining combo - Milk and Elysia makes your eyes seem bigger, but the black on your upper waterline gives it a little something, too. I don't really know how else to explain it. I know Elysia's not white, but it's very light, and when I've seen other looks with white/whitish eyeliner all round the eyes, they've felt a little off somehow. This doesn't. I also like how Elysia offsets the warm shadows.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly - lady! That sketch! Damn. You're going to college for something writing-related, right? Or at least plan to publish your writings as a hobby?
I really LOVE the light eyeliner, it totally suits you :D
ReplyDeleteYour eyes look so bright with this look. They really stand out. Very lovely.
