Olinda of the Seelie Court FOTD + A True Story

I'm not sure I told this story before. I may have shared it with a few of you but I believe I haven't actually written it in a long time. This is the story of how I began to believe in faeries. When I was very small my brother and I loved playing in the vast woods behind our home. The woods were very thick but welcoming. We loved chasing deer from our garden into the woods, most days we didn't follow past the barn. That day we made the mistake of going far past our property line, deep into the forest.
Before my brother and I knew it we were both very lost. At five I felt I needed to keep my spirits up. Singing songs to my two year old brother as we tromped through the ever darkening woods. It was then that we saw a light ducking through the trees. A small orb of light bobbed near us, beckoning us to follow it. Not knowing of willow-wisps or other wicked fey I followed it. With in the hour my brother and I were staring out our home over the hill. The orb had led us home! Believe it or not this is a true story. If it had not been for the small light I think we would have been hurt or killed by a wild animal in those woods. Most people I tell don't believe me.

What I used for this look:

Hard Candy Concealer Palette
Fyrinnae Mineral Foundation in Quartz
Aromaleigh You're A Doll Finishing Powder in Metamorphosis
Nyx Blush in Pinky ( A cool toned bright pink.)

Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
(All e/s in Aromaleigh unless stated otherwise.)
Olinda e/s ( A soft but bright pink with a silver sheen used on the lid.)
Celinette e/s ( A soft and shimmery yellow used on the inner corner of the lid.)
Liriope e/s ( A bright pink/purple shimmery shade used lightly in the crease.)
Rosina e/s ( A shimmery almost metallic ivory white as a highlight color.)
Erlina e/s ( A light grassy green almost lime colored along the lower lash line.)
Nyx Jumbo Eyeshadow stick in Milk ( Used on the waterline.)
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Zero ( Upper lash line.)
Almay Liquid eyeliner in Onyx
Mascara ( Used heavily in the middle of the lash for a doll like effect.)

Fryinnae Lip luster in Puppy Love ( A light pink with purple reflects.)

What do you think of the look? I'd really love to hear your stories!

Disclaimer- I was given these eyeshadows for review by the company.

  1. I love the soft lid colours with the bright green on the lower lashline.

  2. This look is my favorite you've done, it's so pretty :)

I believe your story, nobody can know all the things that are out there in the world. But I also think I'll catch the Chupacabra when I move to Texas, sooo...

  3. RaeRae- Thank you! I love the most recent look you did with the bright pink lips. Ot was gorgeous.

  4. I believe your story. There so many thing that are not scientificlly proven that do exsist. We humans do not know it all.

  5. I love this look so much! Good lord, I love it. It's going straight into my "looks to copy" file, for sure. (If only I could remember to check that file when I'm feeling uninspired, though. Oh, me.)

I believe you! I rarely talk about it, because people do tend to look askance at you when you do, but I'm pagan, so I believe in all sorts of "ridiculous" stuff. ;) Whatever, it works for me, and I like there being an element of wonder and magic in the world.

  6. LOL HEATHER YOU BETTER CATCH THE CHUPACABRA >;D that would be epic. I just imagine you pouncing on it with a net hahaha.

Hngggg I love the white waterline and the green lower lashline <3
