This... Didn't Go as Planned fotd

Not the greatest look but not the worst either. Eh I was hoping for something pretty but it turned out kind of blechy. I did do another nude lip I usually go for the pinks but these nudes are looking really nice. Sorry for the weird face at the bottom, I seem to be making half of a duck face.

What I used:

Eyes-
TFIS
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Aromaleigh e/s in Apocalypse Pansy (Along the crease but unblended.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Mireille ( Blended into the first shadow and blended outward on the crease.)
Fyrinnae e/s in Aztec Gold ( On the lid.)
Random white e/s ( As the highlight shade)
Urban Decay 24/7 e/l in Zero
Almay liquid e/l
H.I.P. gold e/l

lips-
Nyx Round Lipstick in Echo

Does anyone have any books to recommend? I like supernatural books, young adult novels and yes even terrible supernatural romantic novels. ( NO VAMPIRES BOOKS THOUGH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Maybe vampires in it but if the vampire is the main character I will explode.) Anyone have anything in mind?

  1. I like this colour combo, and the nude lips look really nice :)

  2. The Weetzie Bat books - or, really, anything by Francesca Lia Block. If you haven't read them already. They're not novels, though.

I've been recommending Gail Carriger to everyone I know lately, but obviously *you've* read her. ;)

And you're a Dresden Files fan, too, right?

I think our tastes overlap enough that we could make good recommendations to each other, except that I suspect you've already read the stuff that occurs to me easily. I'll think on it, and if I remember any totally awesome books, I'll drop them in another comment.

  3. Oh, duh: the A Song of Ice and Fire series, by George R. R. Martin. Which HBO is awesomely making a miniseries/series of. (With Peter Dinklage, even, and Sean Bean.)

  4. Oh, dude! AND TIM POWERS. The Anubis Gates is brilliant (and supernatural-y). Same for Last Call (which reminded me a smidge of American Gods).

  5. Silhouette- Actually the blue bloods books are a few of the vampire books I can actually handle. The writing is amazing the perfect blend between flowery descriptions and actual well, writing.

Kathy-Eeee thanks! :D I will def check those books out. ActuallY I haven't read any Dresden books! I watched the ScyFy show when it was on and I enjoyed it. I expect the writing will be tons better.

  6. I like the look a lot :)
I'm not sure what you mean by 'supernatural' but recently i finished Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell which is about magicians in a parallel Napoleonic era where magic really exists (though not magic in the Harry Potter way) and am currently reading The End Of Mr Y which is sort of supernatural in a philosophial way.
