Sinister Roses + New Blog Title
Victorian fashion rules dictate you should not look like you are wearing cosmetics to enhance your beauty. Your rouge should be soft, your lip stick red but not to red. You should be as fresh and sweet as an English Rose. I enjoy breaking the rules though. My mother taught me to apply make-up liberally like the victorians. At a young age I started wearing foundation because I went through puberty early. ( Which entails acne break outs and splochy red skin.) I didn't realize that the heavier my foundation was the more I broke out. I wore only browns or purples because I did not want to stand out. Even when I was in my goth faze I wore only black eyeliner.
I still follow the Victorian rules via face make-up. My cheeks are subtle, my lipstick soft but my eye... my eyes are the reflection of my personality, my soul, why not frame them with colors that make me happy. I re-named my blog after a tweet declaring Faeries stole my Evil Shades Lipstick in Primrose Path. (Seriously though I'm pretty sure those butt holes did. I'm so annoyed.) Er... don't tell the faeries I called them butt holes. They might curse me and steal more then just an eyeshadow sample and a lipstick. 3: I didn't change the URL because I figured it would be easier on everyone's google thingie. When I renamed Eyes and Lips to Lipstick on my Teacup and changed the URL apparently there was a google glitch and they weren't following me any more. Hmph. ( Shh it was the faeries again I'm sure.)
What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Aromaleigh e/s in Luella ( A fresh peach shade used on the lid.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Annysia ( A bluer grass green used on the crease.)
Aromaleigh e/s in Rosina ( The perfect high lighter shade.)
Evil Shades e/s in Sinister ( A blue based bright green used as eyeliner over Pixie Epoxy.)
Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk
Mascara
lips-
Morgana Minerals Lipstick in Azalea Blue ( Tapped on and blended slightly to stain the lips.)
I hope every one is having a wonderful day! <3

I love the new blog name. It's adorable.
ReplyDeleteI like how you used Azalea blue too :)
Lovely new name and your eyes look amazing! The combination of the green and the orangey peach is so interesitng and unusual :)
ReplyDeleteI like the new blog name! I think I agree with your 'makeup strategy' too. I tend to focus on my eyes and go all out with whatever colours take my fancy, while keeping the rest 'natural'.
ReplyDeletePhyrra- Thank you! I love the color, it's the perfect shade when it's tapped on.
ReplyDeleteLillian- Thank you, I kept thinking of spring when I picked out the colors. :3
Simone- It's easier that way I think. I love looking at photos where women are wearing bright eye and lip make-up but when I go to use the bright lip color I get to nervous lol.
