I'm dying my hair brown tomorrow. I've decided not to leave in my pink streak because I need a job. If I do get a job that allows crazy dye colors I'll probably do pink or red. I'm going to miss my red hair so much but I have to move on. (Or you know... just have it brown for a little while haha.)

Surprisingly there hasn't been a lot of buzz about Black Rose Minerals. Jasmine the owner of High Voltage and Heather of Eyeconic both recommended the company to me. As I mentioned in a pervious post I placed a small order and had some difficulty with the cart. I contacted Rosa over Twitter and she figured out what the problem was. I hadn't even reached the six dollar minimum. HERPADERP. Rose was very patient with me and understanding of my...brain fart. When I opened my package I was really impressed by the care that went into it. Everything was inside a small paper envelope with a stamped rose on it. The free samples, plus a coupon and the invoice were in a separate plastic baggie from the samples I bought.

Laying out my samples I was impressed by the color array but annoyed at myself for picking such "easy" colors. My annoyance was over quickly once I started to actually use the eyeshadows. All of the colors except for the two free samples (Ares, the red color and Squash, the pumpkiny orange.) and Poseidon are from the NSFW collection. There are two colors that you can only get if you buy the whole collection and those colors are Traffiking (the yellow based orange.) and Dionysus (The true purple, aka my favorite.) Ocean Potion (A pretty blue with hints of teal in it.), Dollface (The nearly magenta pink.) and Gremlin (The monster green.) are all part of BRM's regular collection. I'm defiantly ordering again. I'm looking at Peacocky which could be the perfect peacock teal that I'm looking for. Mome Rath looks super pretty too! Gah!

Do you guys stick to "safe" colors when you buy from new companies? I seem to have a lot of similar colors that I don't end up using because I have a favorite amongst those. I'm currently writing a Persephone Minerals review for all of you! Yay!

Boogie Woogie Bugel Gal-fotd

Classy and safe like your Mother's favorite perfume. Or maybe when you think of a pin-up inspired look you think of Bettie Page with her legs akimbo batting her long lashes at you. A retro kind of sexy that still smolders through the modern age. I like doing pin-up looks when I want to look classy fast. (Especially when I see my fiance's parents. They don't like my colorful make-up.) I did a pin-up inspired hair style but I couldn't get it in frame without looking silly. I was a side part with a bandana for a head band and double ponytails. I TRIED to do victory curls but I could not do them for the life of me! Maybe it's because my ends are fried from dying my hair so often. I'm not sure.

Speaking of hair dying I'm dying my hair a box brown tomorrow. It's pretty reddish brown that I've used in the past. (Like high school past.) My ends are really dry and I was wondering what I should do to re-hydrate or "fix" the broken ends. I condition daily and skip shampooing every other day. My hair has always been healthy so broken ends are new to me.

If you want to make this a bit more modern I suggest using a yellow on the lid with a warm chocolate brown in the crease and bright pink lips.

My bandana was thrown at me by a Macy's float worker at the Columbus Pride I went to on Saturday. If you guys are interested in seeing some pictures of the Pride parade I'll defiantly post them.

Oh poop I messed up one of the wings in my crease. My eyes are actually two different heights so I try to make my eye make-up match. Today I was off my game. In happier news I placed a small order with Black Rose Minerals. I had a small problem with the check out page which lead me to DM Rosa the owner. She was very patient with me until she realized the problem, the check out has a six dollar minimum and I was below that. I felt pretty derpy after that. Oh man. Thank you again Rosa! You are awesome!

Oh jeez, I guess your expecting interesting facts about me.

1. As a toddler I enjoyed nothing more then running out of the house naked. I used to tear off all my clothes and watch the older boys play hockey down the street. My parents would be getting me ready for a bath, look at the water and then I'd be out the door.

2. When I was five I used to eat the red hairs off of my Ariel dolls. I was convinced that if I ate her hair my hair would grow red too. I ate a lot of strange small objects as a child but thankfully I've grown out of that stage.

3. I got into make-up when I was fourteen. I was a young Gothling in search of something to make me look less like a geeky chick squeezing into cute goth clothes and more like a vamp. I ended up wearing way more eyeliner then normal humans should ever wear but I learned. I also got a job at Hot Topic when I was fifteen. I was BAMF. With my boots and my Hello Kitty tee shirts. Aw yeah!

4. I love to write, however I used to want to be an artist. I was convinced my art was good enough for me to become a Manga-ka. Uhm that didn't happen. Now I express my artistic skills by painting my face.

5. My first anime was Sailor Moon. I have lots and lots of badly drawn fan art dedicated to my own Sailor troop. We were the Zodiac Senshi, I was their leader Sailor Sagittarius. I was pretty bad ass a Sailor Scout I think.

6. I freaking LOVE kids shows. I could sit for HOURS watching Spongebob Square Pants or My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.

7. My best friend and I met in first grade. She thought I looked like a princess and needed defending. While I thought she looked hungry and needed feeding. I've been feeding her ever since. Thanks to her we weren't bullied nearly as bad as some people.

I'm currently listening to the new Lady Gaga cd. I am IN LOVE with Highway Unicorn and Bloody Mary. Edge of Glory makes me tear up a bit... I'm a sap ok? I cry at everything. (Including touching moments in Star Trek Next Generation that have something to do with Data's lack of humanity or Worf... or everything. I cry at least twice with every season.)

*I was given the eyeshadow samples for free but that in now way effects my opinion of the products.

Jubliee-X-men fotd

Ah! I should have added the blue on the lower lash line to make it look more authentic. (Her costume is pink,yellow and blue.) Jubilee has the ability to create firecrackers or mini explosions in her hands. She can throw them to distract people or she can blow crap up with the little balls of energy. She was Wolverine's sidekick in the 90's, her Peter Pan like attitude worked well with his grumpy worldly personality. She grew to think of him as a father since her own Father and Mother were murdered by assassins. Her parents were Chinese immigrants who came to America to escape said assassins. Later on there is a whole bunch of business about her becoming a vampire and blah blah.

Sorry the blurbs don't contain all the story lines the character has been through. Marvel retcons story lines so much a person can't always keep them straight.

Emma Frost-X-men Fotd

Emma Frost is a bad ass. When the X-men first met Emma she was known as the White Queen in the baddy group called the Hellfire Club. She's a very selfish, haughty young woman whose powers reflect her icy nature. She can turn into a diamond and use her telecentic powers to make your boyfriend cheat on you. (Bad Scott Summers! BAD!) She is defiantly the favorite bad girl of the Marvel universe. That's why I decided to do this cool toned pin-up look. Emma doesn't need dramatic make-up to catch the guys. Her cool attitude and mental fuckery makes them wanting more.

Pixie-An X-men fotd

Pixie is my all time favorite mutant. With fairy wings, black eyes and pink hair she is very bubbly and chatty. She has a dagger that's actually a piece of her soul that she can use to fight. She's one of the newer mutants and didn't have her own story line until much later in the comic. I think a lot of people can pick out a mutant and feel "close" or similar to that character. I defiantly feel like Pixie and I are similar especially with the whole bubbly attitude.

Thank you so much for your feed back on Deep Space Nine. I'm excited now! Someone asked if I liked Voyager... uhm YES. Captain Janeway does not get enough credit. She is a BAFF, a bad ass father fuckah. Have you seen what she can do? She can convert a borg and make her part of her crew. Did Picard do that? No! Though Picard is just as awesome.

Now that I have this I'm totally going to do a Pinkie Pie inspired look. Tomorrow I'm doing an Emma Frost look involving a bit of glitter and a classic pin-up look turned icy. Apparently X-men First Class did well enough for the producers to look into two other films. I won't lie to you I'm a bit excited as well as worried. The last X-men movie was terrible, I hope they don't ruin the story.

Sugarpill Winnings and Collection

Oh No Pikachu stole all my Sugarpill stuff! Including my new chromalust Decora. Mean Pikachu! He was eyeing my winnings whilst I was taking pictures. If you can see him in the first picture just his ears are sticking out. Pikachu's aren't usually attracted to shiny things (That's Meowth's ball game.) but I think mine wants to put some pink on his cheeks.

With my eyeshadow came an eyeshadow sample of Birthday Girl which is a pastel kind of pink. It reminds me of baby blankets aw. I love Decora though so much. The name is from the Decora fashion trend in Japan. These punky raver chicks pile crap on their heads, arms, necks and faces like hermit crabs. Then they wear all their colorful belongings out to shop for more stuff. It's one of my favorite Japanese trends next to the Fairy kei lolita style. Decora the chromalust perfectly represents these adorable Japanese girls with it's bright pink eyeshadow.

Do you like my duck face haha? The violet on the lid looks pinker in the bottom pictures but the top picture is the most accurate picture of the color I could get.

Right now my fiance and I are on the fourth season of Star Trek Next Generation. I have become enthralled with the series. We're going to watch Deep Space Nine after we finish Next Gen. I'm not looking forward to Deep Space Nine as I've heard a lot of fans don't like the series themselves. What do you think of Deep Space Nine? Have you seen it?

Hmm this looks like a look I did a week or so ago. Strange, it doesn't look that way in person. I really love how sparkly this look is. I was thinking of doing a white waterline but flipside was calling to me. Sadly I don't have anything fun to blog about. I think I'm going to be writing a few reviews so keep an eye out for those.

Amythest Spiritus -fotd

I wore this yesterday but I didn't do anything worth blogging about. Today however I was able to get out of the house! I hung out with a close friend of mine whose boyfriend works at a mall on the nicer side of Cleveland. We hung around annoying him at work until I dragged her into Sephora for a few minutes while he was with a costumer. I swatched a dozen things but the products that stood out to me the most were the Make-up Forever Aqua Liners. My favorites are 8, the electric purple, and 5 which looks like a teal to me. Holy crap you guys. Holy crap. I washed my hands several times today as well as went swimming. They have just begun to wear off after seven hours of abuse. I NEED the purple. Like NEED. *foams at the mouth*
