Hello Casanova- Fotd

I'm having one of those off days. I woke up late, my favorite breakfast food was all gone. My nose ring went down the drain in the shower and then I stubbed my toe. I was able to find a stud that was gold so I put it in before the hole closed but it's an ear stud. :/ I know it's bad for piercing but it's the perfect size for it. *shrugs* I'm determined to make this day better some how. And it did get a little better when my Aromaleigh samples from Ciao Italia collection came. I did get these free to review but I don't let free items sway my opinion. Honestly if I didn't like a product I wouldn't use it. Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. I went to my BFF's birthday party with little make-up on since I knew we were swimming. Plus it's a pain in the ass to get mascara off of my lid after I swim.

What I used:
Eyes-
TFSI
Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
Aromaleigh Ciao Italia! e/s Mela ( Crisp, bright and teal shadow used on the lid with a flat E.L.F. brush.)
Aromaleigh Ciao Italia! e/s Melone ( A smokey darkened teal used in the crease with a round blending brush.)
Aromaleigh Ciao Italia! e/s Amarena (Shimmering light pink used on the brow bone.)
N.Y.C. liquid eyeliner in black
Milani eyeliner in black
mascra

lips-
NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose

Hmm ok I have two questions for you guys, what do you think of hauls? I love reading/watching haul videos when they pertain to beauty but when I do hauls I feel kind of like I'm bragging. :/ What do you think of hauls?
Also what is a good CHEAP face primer? :D Thanks <3 I love reading your responses.

  1. Very pretty look! :)
I love haul posts, i never think the writer/person in the video is bragging. I'm nosy and love hearing about what other people have bought :)
And i haven't tried any cheap primers but i've heard good things about the ELF studio one which is £6 (dont know how much in dollars) or apparantly anti-chafing gels (the one i know is called Lanacane but it might not be available in the US) are made of the same exact stuff as silicone primers and are much cheaper.

  2. Oboy I like the color combo a lot :D

I like seeing haul posts, it is fun to live vicariously through others, and they aren't braggy unless people write them sounding that way.

Also, HARD CANDY FACE PRIMER! It is around $8 from Walmart, and the amount you need is sooo small for the area it covers... like pixie epoxy for your face, seriously. It keeps my makeup lasting SO much longer than if I apply without it.

  4. Greens look so pretty on you :)

I love seeing haul posts and watching haul videos, even though I'm a bit the same and feel awkward doing them myself. I don't really have a problem with it unless it's a 14 year old girl showing off stuff she bought with her parents' money, or Elle and Blair doing goddamn commercials and disguising them as hauls XD

  5. Lillian- Hee-heh I hear you on being nosy, it's fun. :D Hmm I've been watching reviews for ELF's primer and I'm at a crossroad between elf and hard candy now that I've read Heather's review.

Heather- :D I like haul posts because half of them introduced me to my beloved indie companies. I was looking at the Hard Candy primer the other day. I've heard good things and I'm seriously debating it.

Makeup zombie- Ah thank you! I know what you mean :( I get sad every time I use Aromaleigh.

Silhouette-YAY YOUR BACK!! And I hate those damn girls. They annoy me so much. Ugh. I dislike those kind of haul videos too. Ugh.

  6. I don't know who this Elle and Blair are, but now I feel compelled to seek them out and watch their videos just to get indignant. (I'm a crotchety old lady that way.)

I was going to suggest Lanacane anti-chafe gel, which I just saw recently somewhere....either Target or Rite Aid. But I'm a stinker, and haven't actually used it myself, just read rave reviews. These days I'm all about the bb creams.

I kind of really like haul posts, but am the same about feeling iffy about doing it myself. Maybe we should just do it and not feel weird? One of the main reasons I like them is, aside from vicarious makeup-jonesing fixes, I learn about new-to-me products, or products to avoid, and can ask questions about stuff I need more info on. And if the blogger hadn't put up a haul post, I wouldn't necessarily know I could ask them those questions, you know? (I mean, I guess I could go to MUG or MUA, but I never do for some reason. Everything I know, I hear from beauty blogs.)
