Darling Sugar sugar-fotd

Somedays you want something sweet and cutesy. Other days you want something sweet with an edge of sour. This was one of those sugary sweet vanilla icing days. I used a different liner today because my ELF liner actually burned the corner of my eye and left dry/crunchy skin. I realize it's stupid to eyeshadow on the actual boo boo but uhm... yeah... I am stupid. I will write a different post about it.

BASIC Cyber Goth-Experiment

This is a very basic no frills cyber goth look. Most of the cyber pictures/people I've seen have very intricate looks but I wanted to start out softly. For most people this is a really dramatic look but for cyber goths it's missing several key ingredients; pencil thin drawn on brows, rhinestones on the face, false lashes and a mask. I will be getting goggles soon. (Aka goggles from my Dad's work that my brother and I are going to paint.) Madam and Eve-fotd

Oh my sweet cussing christ why didn't anyone tell me that sleepy hallow was so beautiful? When I applied it this afternoon I gasped. The tiny gold shimmer is so beautiful. Sadly my camera couldn't exactly capture how beautiful madame and eve/ sleepy hallow are together.

On Saturday my High Voltage order came in. I bought all lippies this time. I swatched them but I forgot to get pictures because I am stooopid. I really love the colors I bought. Tomorrow or later on this week I'll do lip swatches for ya! ( I also have a cyber goth inspired look that I'm posting later on.)

Hauling A$$

I don't usually post haul's because they are far and few between for me. I don't have a job and begging my fiance for make-up seems silly. (Since a I am fully capable of getting a job.) The Fyrinnae stuff however is what my fiance got me for Christmas. I know it's late but we didn't buy anything for each other till after the holidays because of low cash flow. I have to get him a second present as well cause all I got him was a Pikachu plushie and he got me all this Fyrinnae.

The Sobe Botanicals stuff was actually sent by the lovely owner Lex. I had sent her an e-mail because I messed up my moisturizer. Despite the fact that it was my fault the moisturizer was ruined she sent me a refill of it and several shadows. The shadows are beautiful! I can't wait to use them. I will have swatches of all the shadows I got soon. :D

While at Ohyocon I bought my first pair of cyber falls or cyber dreads or cyber locks, whatever you want to call them. I really love how the go with the red in my hair. :3 I freaking LOVE THEM. So I will most likely be doing a cyber goth look soon. ;3 Do you guys want to see some pics from the con? (p.s. those awesome goggles are not mine. D:)

Lord Apophis-Fotd

Apophis is many things. The snake that fights Ra when the sun goes down, the cruel ruler over several solar systems and the one of the first villain's in Stargate Sg-1. He was SUCH a douche. He never seemed to die. I think they killed him off three different times in the show. Like Daniel Jackson he just couldn't stay dead!

He was one of my least favorite villains to be honest. I really love Ba'al who I will probably be doing a look for too. Though I'm not sure I can pull of arrogant and bearded it's kind of difficult. The pictures are a little edited I just changed color tone a bit.

Good Old Fashioned Glitterboi-fotd

Tomorrow I go home for a few hours before I go to my Grandparent's old house. My brother, fiance and I are painting a room before we go to Ohyocon the next day. Ohyocon is one of Ohio's biggest conventions. I'm super excited because I rarely get to go to ones that cost money. The theme is steam punk so I plan on busting out some gold and plum make-up. I actually don't have many good golds but my recent Fyrinne order has a few in it. I'm hoping it arrives on Friday. It's more likely that my High Voltage order will be there first though since it's only coming from two states away lol.

I'm sorry it's not the Goau'ld look today. I haven't had as much time today as I thought I would. Hopefully I will have it ready/done on Sunday. I want to make a latex forhead tattoo like Teal'c's. See you guys soon!

Despite the fact that the colors I used today look silvery and black I assure you they are blues. :D Very pretty sparkly blues with silver toned shimmer in them. I love these colors.

It will always have a special place in my heart because it brought me and my fiance together. *dreamy sigh of happiness* On Sunday I re-watched the movie which made me want to watch the first season. (God Michael Shanks is hot in that. Floppy hair and blue eyes... Mmm...) ANYWAY I was INSPIRED! :D Shaun even agreed to let me do some Jaffa Make-up on him. Tee-hee

Bahama Mama-Experimental look

This is Reggie my Bahama Mama! She's from the Bahamas and is going to Kent to get a degree in architecture. I had asked her to let me do her make-up in December but I never got around to doing it. She's so sweet and funny I really enjoy the small snatches of time we get to spend together. Her major is VERY demanding which leaves her little time to socialize. She usually spends her time sleeping or doing homework so make-up is rare for her.

I used blue because we are constantly talk about Nicki Minaj who wears a bright blue lid color with a darker brown crease. I wish I had grabbed one of my indie browns because the browns in the 120 palette wasn't as dark as I needed. I added black but you can tell it's not as well blended as I wanted it. She ended hating the blue so I patted some PE over it then applied some gold shadow. The close up pictures I took of the gold eye look TERRIBLE. I blended so badly I was to embarrassed to put it up here. D:

Stila Fabulous in Fiji palette (The medium toned blue used on the lid.)

-Darkest brown in the palette aka medium toned matte brown used in the crease.

-Shimmery honey brown used over the crease

-Shimmery black applied in the corner of the eye to make the blue to brown transition better

-Cream shimmery sheer color used as highlight

-Silvery blue used on the ball of the lid

-Silver used in the corner of the eye

Milani eyeliner in black ( I sharpened this before use you should also sanitize your make-up before you use it on other people.)

A dab of mascara (she didn't like the wand lol.)

Wet N Wild lipstick in Spiked with Rum

I have to wash my brushes but I'm to lazy. I may be going to Ohyocon this year. This is a big MIGHT but I am hopeful. All my friends are going so I want to see them and go freaking SHOPPING in the dealers room. I love cons. I've only been to two so I'm hoping this one will be the best yet!

Is there anything I could have done better on this look? Do you have any tips for me so that I can apply other people's make-up better?

Jean Greenie-Fotd and Wet N Wild Swatches

Swatches: (From left to right.) Greenie palette lid, crease and highlight. Spoiled palette lid, crease and highlight. These were all done over NYX jumbo pencil in milk which makes them stand out just as wonderfully as PE does! Go Wet N Wild!

WHOO! SWATCHES! YEAH! *pumps fist* Sorry I know that I'm a bit to excited about eyeshadow swatches but my old camera didn't have any setting. So now I finally get to do swatches for reviews! Yaaaaaaaaay! Today I swatched my new Wet N Wild palettes in Spoiled Brat and I Dream of Greenie. I did a small review of them the other day if you'd like to check them out.

Before I left for school today we stopped by my local Ulta. I grabbed a new brush set for my Mommy because she doesn't own any eyeshadow brushes and her blush brushes are... nasty. (Yesterday I washed all of them for her because she'd never washed them. Yeah. It was gross. Which is funny because my mother is an extremely clean person.) I dug about in the clearance section and found a Benefit lip gloss set for her. She only has a few shades she wears and I thought the prospect of new lippies would help her branch out. :D

At the counter I saw the new Stila palettes. I grabbed the Tokyo one but both of the palettes had been used so I picked the Fiji inspired one. I really should have studied the palette before I bought it because I dream of greenie has the PERFECT DUPE in it. I swatched the crease color and the Figi green side by side and they looked like the same shadow!

While in the car to Microcenter (a computer store my Honey loves.) I used the Fiji palette. It could have been the jaunty car but the shadows blended terribly. I was pretty disappointed with how patchy/muddy the look came out. While in the store I washed it off because it looked so bad. I'm going to try the shadows with a different base later to see how it works with PE. Hopefully PE will save the palette from banishment.

You Spoiled Brat-FOTD/Mini Wet N Wild Review

Alright I gave into the swatches and went out to buy the new Wet N Wild palettes. I bought the I dream of Greenie one and the Spoiled Brat one. I'm a sucker for pinks and greens right now. (And reds and blues and purples and...) I really like Wet N Wild's shadows. They're smooth, pigmented and not chalky at all. They even have tiny little shimmery-bits in the shadow that actually transfers onto the eye. They have a wide array of textures including matte, glitter, frost. and what looks like a pearl texture. I've used the shadows over my too faced shadow insurance and over pixie epoxy. The pixie epoxy makes the colors brighter and stick longer but even the too faced shadow insurance can pick up the tiny sparkles the shadows have.
If you want some amazing eyeshadows for a really great price ( THREE BUCKS.) then go for Wet N Wild. They also have a large selection of shadows, lipsticks, blushes and more. I really like their lipstick too but I only have one of the lipsticks so I can't really do a good review on it.
I'm sorry the pictures are so yellow. The pink is actually really vibrant.

Transplant Blue-fotd

Between my History of the English Language homework and waking up late enough to make it on time to class I haven't had much make-up time. If I do have a small amount of time in the mornings I usually just brush on some eyeliner and mascara. I don't really feel the need to use foundation on my face since it looks ok bare. I wish I gave myself more time to do make-up. Today I was determined to put some on even if it was later on in the day. I put this look on at six. Mind you I haven't left my room because I'm in the middle of writing my journal for the History of the English Language class.
I was really hoping for the colors to pop but because my Pixie epoxy is on it's last leg their isn't much that gets on the wand any more. I made a large Fyrinnae order recently so my Pixie epoxy will be replenished soon! WOOT!! I also bought some Wet N Wild stuff while I was out today. I only bought two things but I used both in the look. I must say I'm impressed with the brand. They used to be so... well crappy but now their really awesome. I love how pigmented their eyeshadows are and the lipsticks are great. I promise reviews once I get some free time. :D

This is me staring at you-fotd

Today has been one of those boring days where you just sit around watching NCIS. Happily I had time to put some make-up on. I dyed Shaun's hair yesterday with turquoise highlights and his usual shocking blue. It looks amazing when the light hits it. I blended it well in the front but the blue is really solid in the back. He says he likes it but I'm a bit grouchy with how poopy I did. Pictures of it will be coming tomorrow. :D
My younger brother Josef whom you've seen pictures of wants to dye his hair black. We'd like to bleach strips of his hair in the front so we put red in it. It will make it easier for other people to recognize us as siblings. *twitch*

L.A. Colors Tropical Palette Bright Pink (Patted on the lips.)

I love Shiro's eyeshadows they are so soft and buttery. I never have a problem blending them. They seem like they'd be a bit sheer but actually the colors pack a secret punch that explodes out with Pixie epoxy. I used to use Nyx eyeshadow but they crease horribly on me. That's why I'm so bad at using matte eyeshadows. I don't have my beloved Pixie epoxy to work with. (Also I'm shit at blending mattes. Ugh I love the but they are my only weakness!)

Another red/brown look?-fotd

I can't help it. I really love the way a dark red/maroon looks with a golden or chocolate brown. I think it's neutral but not boring because brown on browns look boring on me. *sigh* I am sorry I haven't been posting much. I haven't been inspired lately. It's just one of those Januray's. I did this yesterday but because I had a guest post I wanted to post it today. :D
